Hello everyone - today (minutes into) is Friday, so it's time to start thinking about having a great weekend. Smile and have some fun.

It is only THURSDAY here
You had me there for a minute and I had to edit my post

It may be a long weekend at that with the holiday for some, I think

Have a great day...I am heading to bed (2am here )

It's only Thursday February 16th here too

I had to check on the time and date on the TV here
to make-sure I wasn't having calendar problems in this PC also

Well, I'm moving to where Tom lives if it's Friday over there. God knows I would love a 4-day work week. I need coffee! It's gonna be a busy one at the office today folks so I bid you a wonderful day! God Bless.

Morning Eagles....feels like spring out there. Okay, I'm exaggerating...it's plus 2 celsius which is warmer than we've had for months. I know, this isn't the weather channel/thread but I couldn't help myself. I painted a few more pictures this week and can't seem to stop obsessing. We're having people over after church on Sunday so I really should think about cleaning up and doing some grocery shopping. It's so easy to plop down in front on the easel afterwork, neglecting everyone but the dog. Please pray for me...I need discipline and self-control! I'm going over to the prayer forum for a little while, then I'd better get some work done around here or I may very well get fired! Have a good day peeps!

hey, I pop in every now and again and take a look at what's going on.. say a quick prayer for someone who doesn't seem too be doing to well or sometimes I just don't know how to pray (in some cases)... Lots of sadness in the prayer thread.... But, I guess that is what the prayer thread is for... Overwhelming situations....

Just wanted to say hello... Shirley has been sick for an awful long time... too long. hope that clears up completely soon...Yvie (I think that's how you spell it) can sure paint... wow!! mind boggling to me... Dave is still dave... always encouraging always level headed... Looks like Gail's been promoted... You are a prayer warrior if I ever saw one.

as for me... I work... I took on a part time work from home job... I still have my walgreens job but there is going to be a major upset in March (lot of changes) and it's rumored my position will be eliminated. I really don't like that job much anyway, but the insurance and the constant paycheck sure are nice. ... I'm praying that God makes a way. In Sept, 2011 I began selling avon. I like it... this month I accepted a position as the district managers administrative assistant. It's part time doesn't pay a lot but it is more than I had in the beginning... God handed it to me so I took it. I never applied for it, it just appeared out of no-where...I'm working for the district manager so I should learn plenty that way (second job I've found that way lol).I screwed the first one up.lol .. I'm not even going to ask for prayer today... too many people so much worse off than me. God bless all. I can't figure out what God has in store for me after the walgreens upset (if anything)...I have kind of asked god to get me out of there without killing me financially... Probably the wrong kind of prayer but it's what I want. I just want to do something that won't stress me so much. OOOPs I don't know if I ever actually said where I worked. I seriously doubt anyone from corporate is monitoring this forum looking to fire me for slander or telling secrets. lol.

Anyway.. have a great day/weekend everyone.. I'll be working on both jobs and studying as well. (man I wish I could paint like Yvie)

Thanks Connie! I wish I could do something besides paint, eat, sleep and work! Not even eating enough to speak of really....Anything to an extreme is unhealthy, I do solicite your prayers and will be thinking of you in mine. Love, Yvie

so, you want to paint less. Okay, I'll be praying for balance in your life... the arts are important... not always lucrative but important all the same..Our capitalist society doesn't always value them but there are books written on the subject. Some of them required reading for high schoolers. where would we be without them?? life would be so sterile... God most definitely appreciates beauty and creativity. I'm quite sure your work would be posted on his heavenly refrigerator or the equivalent to it if he does things like that. Painting (historically) seems to be a form of expression when your sole is troubled... and those after you if your work is still around (not that your going anywhere soon. lol) stand to learn from what your paint... If not that, then your family will always have you hanging on their wall. Such a beautiful expression of who you are and of your personality, what you valued...

I have been listening to an audio version of the painting of dorian gray... It's entertaining and enlightening and I have been falling asleep to it these last several nights. before that it was the adventures of sherlock holmes... also entertaining and enlightening, as it gives me a peak into the lives and concerns of those who lived during the time frame it was written in. I realize it's pure fiction but in many ways it's informative because the writer must write from his or her own point of reference. so the books make reference to such things as drug addiction, or simply how important a warm fire was when it was cold outside...I usually fall asleep before the story is over though. lol

It is good to see you again birdie...((((((hugs))))))....don't know if you realize , to me anyway, you are a gifted writer...maybe the Lord can use that talent in some way that pays you something...hmmmm.

I do like to shop at our Walgreen's in town, the store is always clean and it is easy to check out.

Praying for your job situation

By 'promotion'...you must mean coordinating the teams?
I used to do it a couple years ago, then took time off this summer while caring for the grandkids; now I am back on because the other gal is busy.
