With regard to the pet grooming

Those groomers are losing money

I could get all six shepherds done, in just over two hours
It must be a sign of the times

..... If you had a wet room.... you could hose them down yourselves

My English Springer Spaniel would have loved your place Birdie...she sure loved ours with the lake and forests and bird hunting (I miss her!!)

Now my Penny...she is a lovable 'baby'....a 15# ball of fur.... who loves snow but hates water

As I'm continuing in searching for employment and also to work on classes, will not be able to post on GE as often as I have been. Will continue to post on GE several days of each week, but not every day, as I need to spend more time on job-searching and classes. I enjoy participating and the games on GE. Please pray that the right job will open soon. Thank you.

Oh yes, Shirley...
They would queue-up, in 'pecking-order', youngest LAST!!!
suds and shower-rinse... kids would stand by with dog towels
and when I was through bathing ..I would dry them out with a hairdryer
It was a treat that they very-much enjoyed

Reat memories Dave for you and your family...we have never owned that many dogs at the same time...we had 2 cocker spaniels at the same time...we do better, just 1 dog at a time.

They were a 'couple' Lady and Hogan
We had kept them apart during the last two weeks of her seasons
But then decided that Lady should have some pups [to keep her sane ]

We allowed them four litters [altogether]
the first litter was just a single pup [Max]
After that we kept back one pup from each litter and two from the last litter

They were a very loving family group and so very loyal to their human family
I don't have the body any more, to be able to give one adequate exercise
My style has changed, ~to lapdogs

My style has changed to lap dogs too...we had a large, male doberman for 13 years...he was our biggest dog, but he loved being treated like a lap dog.

@ 30lbs, Rusty is 'some' heavy lapdog
@ 40lbs, Teddy seems heavier when he is sleeping
@ 17 years now, Rolo, can no longer jump up onto the settee [couch]
and is sometimes, knocked off-balance, by the exuberance, of the other two
He has always, been a very loving and happy dog
and we are watching-him CLOSELY as his ancient body ages further
we have no wish, to oversee him undergoing any suffering
We pray, that when, his time comes, he passes peacefully, in his sleep
He deserves, not to, have-to 'suffer', a prolonged /painful end

He has cysts, but as these do not yet trouble him we feel
that surgery so late in his life will be the end of him anyway

17 is very old for any dog...I agree, passing peacefully would be a blessing.

17 x 7 = 119 [equivalent/comparative ~human-years]

Dogs have a way of getting much happiness ourt of life...they also pour it out to people. (most of the time )

I was up early today, felt much better, the sore throat thing is better, I don't know why I have been feeling so bad with the throat, that is not normal for me.

I also managed to burn something on the stove...hubby will not be happy...I was looking at the pc, instead of cooking. My poor house really stinks this time with the burned smell. Haven't tried to clean the pot yet...maybe "he" will do it for me.

Snap!!!!

I took Mary to her daughter's this afternoon

Surmising she would soon be home
I began bolognese for Tea only to find we have no sauce in the cupboard
so, at 7.50pm I phone Joanna's [Mary answered]
and asked them to fetch a jar of sauce and bring it home with them
Like 35 minutes ago... am keeping the mince and onions HOT
and suddenly the fire/smoke alarms go off ...some onion has toasted on the side of the pan
Now headed toward 8.30pm ...she has enjoyed five hours of family company
and I wish, I had staved-off my hunger with a piece of toast LOL
The fusili will be mash by the time the 'other-half' gets home

It doesn't just 'rain' here ... Here's to the rescue of the meal
