Good morning, Eagles. We're spending some time at our cottage near the shore in South Carolina and I do not have a good internet connection here, so my computer time has been brief. We are happy to be where it is warmer and the sunshine and warmth really feel wonderful. Hope all of you are doing well and pray for each of every in my morning prayers.
Can I come over?
I hope you have a great time, Val!
I'm using a bone white since eventually we will be selling this house and I want the color to be neutral so it will appeal to more people.I think maybe the extra daylight hours are keeping folks outside longer. I know they do taunt me to get out of the house.
What colors are you using?
Screened in porches are great!I wish you could come over. It'd be great to have a real live prayer partner here with us. We're really enjoying our time here. My husband is having a great time and has been getting construction estimates to have a screened in back porch built next month. I think we've found the right contractor, so construction should commence sometime next month. We'll LOVE having a nice bug-free zone outside and the spot where we want the porch is near a HUGE pin oak so it'll be cool and pleasant and we can feel the ocean breezes. We're hoping to put a small dining table and some comfy chairs out and I suspect we'll spend most of our time living on the porch. We are, however, praying that the hurricanes will stay away again this year. Those things are frightening!!
to all the Eagles.
Hope you get it all done while the weather is nice!I've been outside for two days now working on my yard, taking full advantage of the beautiful weather. Today my shed is slated for clean-up and reorganization. A bit of a storm systme expecte tonight and tomorrow so I'll do what I can before we are under it again!
keeptrying: Hope you get it all done while the weather is nice!
Your daughter is wonderful. I wish there could be more people getting involved with this. My daughter and I took a class online throught the Illinois State U. For 16 weeks we study about autism and how to handle a person who has it. It was very informative. My daughter has been looking for someone who could help during the week, but so far she hasn't had any luck. They come to my house just a bout every weekend so then I take over being in control of him, so she can have a little break. She lives about a hr away from me. We talk on the cell phone a lot during the week. Thank God for cell phones with free family calling. My youngest daughter wants to work with autistic children through music therapy. There is a young man named Birger Sellin in Germany whose book inspired her to seek out this vocation. She is devoted to this cause and hopes someday to have her own clinic with other therapists in the field. So devoted in fact, that she has a canine named Birger! She has made the decision not to have children of her own so that she might be of greater help to those in need. It took some time for me to realize she has made a good decision, knowing that she would be a wonderful mother. But I have to respect her choice and her intentions.
My heart and prayers go out to those who deal with autism, as well as those who want to make a difference in the lives that are affected by it.
I might be pegged by many as being optimistic and helplessly hopeful, but my daughter's own enthusiasm is addicting in such a good way.
God bless you everyday.
