My mother fell tonight and we had to take her to the emergency room.
We're giving thanks there are no broken bones and no serious injuries.
They had to put 7 staples in the back of her head to close the wound.
She's only 91 years old, so you can imagine what injuries we were fearing.
Regardless, I would appreciate it if you keep her in your prayers.
Wow...91! Thank God she wasn't more seriously hurt; bless her dear heartMy mother fell tonight and we had to take her to the emergency room. REMEMBER THE DAYS WHEN...
BTW... The earrings back then must have been quite large and heavy, lol
AWWW Dave those pictures make me smile, how sweet.
Well I have had such a busy day catching up, I had a couple of days of a nasty migraine and couldn't get to come here for chat and fellowship with all you beautiful darlings, now I am so tired I struggling to think, just got myself a hot drink to perk me up and a snack to perk me up, I am so sorry some of you have still got snow and are so cold you poor things, I will keep prayin for you, and for those stuggling with anxiety and stress bless your heart, cos I get that too and fighting it off, thank you for the breathing exercises I often don't even realise I am holding my breath with anxiety, got to do more deap breathing and get that oxygen around the body.
I really need to relax at the moment and stop getting panicky about everything, we are moving in eleven days time, there is so much to do we have been spring cleaning the whole house, there is painting to be done, windowsill skirting etc, etc. before we vacate the property, 'scary I know' haven't much time left .
As I have not long found out about this thyroid condition and have been quite unwell, I would really appreciate prayers for strength and energy beyond normal to cope. The medication is working though because the agonising pain I was getting in my muscles have gone and my hair has stopped falling out, I had a blood test the other day to see my levels and if the anemia has improved, I am sure it has because I do feel better.
The house we are moving to is bigger so that will be good as my daughter has moved in and had so much stuff and this place is so small, so we needed somewhere bigger, the Lord has answered prayers for us because I am literally two minutes walk from the church which is great because I can't drive, and the house is near the town also just a few streets away from hubby's job.
The Lord provided a job for my daughter with better hours and more pay, so many of my dear friends and beloved on here prayed for her. Thank you all, Praise our wonderful heavenly father.
She has finally split with her boyfriend of six years that was so painful for her, and needs this fresh start. ( but that's another story that needs lots of prayer)
Also this house is so cold and the heating is rubbish, we could not believe the gas bills, way higher than our last house, it is an old boiler and is not efficient, spent many an evening with blankets and keeping the only the room we are in kept warm with a small convector heater, and only turning heating on before bed. The house we are going to is a newer heating system, and my hubby will be nearer work so that will save money on petrol. We will be better off all round with this move. YAY.
Just lost a long post...O well...
need to rest a sore leg today...
do some light cleaning at home...
hubby went to the store...
he will put gas in my car too.
Happy weekend to all.[/B]
My hello...and thanks to Dave alsoI love the Scripture graphics today - thanks Brother Dave.
I also want to thank everyone who has prayed for my mother. She is shaken up but doing very well today. She has some soreness but is really doing amazingly well. We'll give God and prayer the credit.
Hope your leg is better soon Shirley
It is a good excuse to skip the housework
We had a hopeful sign of SPRING approaching today (in spite of the snow coming tonight)
A group of wild turkey hens came through the yard....and in pursuit was a TOM 'strutting his stuff'
AND the days are getting noticeably LONGER
Have a nice weekend everyone
Love the picture ~ that is so cute!I think I would love seeing the wildlife you have around there...we have signs of spring here too...it is too sunny for me...LOL
I managed to get the floors cleaned, laundry done...we had a quick dinner out...I will cook tomorrow.
I am tired tonight...guess that is ok tho.
I messed with CS5...altered a Mary Engelbrect illustration...hope you like it.
Wow TomWe're about to be snowed in here also starting later tonight. The weatherman says 12 to 14 inches. Everyone stay warm and safe.
Wow Tom
Do you get it often...can your city/town handle it?
Out temp is above freezing so whatever is falling is melting; and some of what already fell should melt too.
Jim already plowed; when the temp drops it will turn into cement (the snow is heavy/wet)
Be safe and warm yourself ~ God bless
