Blessings for everyone and a special prayer for Dave and his ear and nose problems
(((((((((((Dave))))))))))))
so sorry you have been poorly, that sounded really scary,
your are in my prayers for complete healing and recovery.
I have had a very hectic few weeks, we are moving to the next town
and it has all happened so fast, we decided to move nearer to where my hubby works
as it was becoming to expensive to travel,
my daughter applied for a job and she has been accepted, so it is all systems go.
We were really praying about it
because I cannot drive and wanted to be near a church so I can get there easily
for all the activities and voluntary work, also evening services when hubby is working night shift
so I would not have far to go,
I hate relying on others for lifts even though people have been so kind and
have always helped me to church were I lived before.
We are renting so there was very little choice and a small window of time to settle on a home,
well I couldn't believe it we found the perfect home
and it is literally the next road to a very vibrant church with loads going on,
praise the Lord he answered that prayer.
The house is also cheaper to rent than the others on offer
and was more spacious and in better condition inside,
money was becoming so tight and this is going to make such a difference to our finances also
as I haven't been able to work for a while because of being poorly.
I have recently found out that I have an underactive thyroid condition,
I had been poorly for some time and was going down hill fast,
my hair was falling out like mad, I was putting it all down to the manapause
because I was finding it so difficult to remember things
and had such a foggy brain, but the sympoms worsened to a point
that I could hardly walk so went to doctors
and was diagnosed also with high blood pressure and anemea.
Also the horrible pain in my muscles was all down to the underactive thyroid too,
anyway the doctor has precribed levothyroxine meds and iron tablets
and I have been on them now for nearly three months do feel a lot better,
my hair has stopped falling out,
I am going for more tests this week to check my levels and blood pressure.
Please pray that the move goes well,
we will be moving on the 4th march.
Hope you all have a great weekend.
God bless.
Praise God for His blessings on your move Debby
I was quite ill 5 years back when a virus attacked my thyroid, so I feel for you.
Thank God you are recovering nicely now
Have a blessed weekend everyone
I did not realize a virus attacked your thyroid Gail...
just know I can relate to having a problem with that gland...
that is why I am so tired...
the meds don't really replace a natural function for us.
Yeah it was bad....started with just a virus ~ fever, sore throat, congestion, aches etc.
3 days into it the fever spiked, and over the course of a week my neck blew up like a football, was painful, and I lost 20 pounds!
I had ACUTE THYROIDITIS
But initally they feared it was cancer because my dad died at 38 from Hodgekins Lymhoma.
I couldn't sleep, it affected my heart (was tested for Congestive Heart Failure).......I saw the doc and lab every other day for weeks.
Over weeks and months, the thyroiditis causes it to be HYPER...then HYPO, and hopefully stabilizes (which mine did on it's own)
It took me 18 months to recover and finally was even able to get off the meds.
It was a flukey thing.... but could happen again they said if a virus is bad enough.
No fun...I feel for all who live with any thyroid condition!
Wow Gail that sounds really awful, I didn't know you could get a virus in the glands either, I am so glad you had a full recovery, you poor thing, is your heart unaffected by this? I hope so, it does sound as though everything is back to normal, it's important to go back to docs for check ups regularly to keep an eye on things. Bless your heart, I will be praying that the Lord watches over you and gives you protection.
Dave there seems to be many of us with this condition hugs to Mary
And you too Angelwind, and it does seem as you say to take time to regulate with meds we have to keep going for regular blood tests to check levels. Hugs to you too sweetheartPraying for healing and comfort.
Hope you are all having a great weekend.Praying for you all God bless.

That sounds horrible...I have low thyroid...I know how weird having it off can make us feel. Your must have been really aweful. I take a pill everyday for thyroid...one dr said I was going 55 in a 60 mile an hour zone...just never feel right.
Group prayers for us all...my goodness...it is amazing how crazy our health can get and we still survive.
I just get my blood tested once a year...but I take a divided dose of meds...I cannot tolerate the pill...100mg all at once...kills my brain.
WowI've been hypo thyroid since in my early 30s; take Synthyroid daily. My sister and a couple cousins had to have theirs removed. I was the first of my family to have problems. I kept losing my voice.
Good to see everyone.
wow that is weird ~ I saw them
Wow...very weirdUpdate: I too see those pictures [after signing in today]
Really "wierd" that it has taken so long, for me to be 'allowed' to see them
sorted!!! now
and yet.... I made no changes here (it, being Mary's computer) [?]
