Good day all. Having a late lunch here - was volunteering at the charity shop this morning for the first time since my accident in August. It's very cold here, but no snow thank goodness. Off now to take my son on a quick run to Tescos and will get some things there myself. Blessings, Gillian

Hi Gillian...and good morning Golden Eagles

We were out the door early to do banking and get gas for the snow blower before the snow started .

We treated ourselves to breakfast on our way home, and are now snug and warm by the wood stove, as the snow gently falls.

Be blessed today

Hello Everyone. I hope that you all have a great week.

Philippians 4:8-9 KJV Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Hello Dear Golden Eagles~Wow, summer has finally hit here and it is hot, ugh, not use to January being hot.

I finally got my tower desk top computer set up, it still works as bad as it did at home, LOL, looks like a new hard drive is in order, ugh, oh well.

I am going to be getting a cute little Sheltie pup next week. I had to sell my collie pup, with all my back issues and such, she was just too big and strong for me. I have had Shelties before, I love them. I am so excited.

Have a lovely day.

Hugs to all

I kept my appointment with the practice nurse at the health centre this-morning

As she took my BP, she enquired, as to, 'how I was feeling'
She was about to take blood samples, because, of a recent up titration of my BP meds

I mentioned the nose bleeds I have been seeing [when I bend over /blow my nose]
and added, that when I awoke this morning, I found blood upon my pillow
and 'dried blood' in my right ear
I was rushed into a doctor's surgery, who, straightaway examined my ears and nostrils
and took my blood pressure three more times, before prescribing olive oil for my ears
[Extra Virgin Olive Oil] I cook with such oil
plus, a cream for my nostrils 4x [daily] and an up titration of my Ramipril
^ to 10mg daily [maximum dose ?]
~I have only recently had that up titrated to 5 mg from 3.75 mg [daily]

The doctor believes that I have ruptured my ear drum
But I have certainly had no pain with it
_and note that my hearing, is diminished on the right side since last night

Whoa.....!!! it must be age-related huh ?

Just 'another step' along the way Everything CHANGES

Hello, GE friends. I appreciate your prayers and support. I keep you in my prayers as well. Certainly, getting older isn't as easy as it looked when I was younger, lol.

It was in the low 60s and dry, so I went out to the library and then caught the bus to Wal-Mart. I got a late start so there was only an hour before I had to catch the final bus of the day. At least it got me out of the house for a bit before this next cold spell comes in tomorrow. Tim wanted to bike and stop by Lowe's, but he met me there. Now that I can't stand easily, I can't reach top shelves anymore. Next time we'll plan better, start earlier and have time to eat out. There's an Applebee's and a Bob Evans on that side of town, across the parking lot.

Have a good night and a nice Wednesday when it gets here. Can you believe February is just a few days away?

Happy February Golden Eagles! I am very grateful that I was able to get out a bit yesterday with mom. We've joined a line-dancing class on Thursdays and although she sits out for the most part...it has been an opportunity to get together once a week. My mom is very independant and is finding it difficult to slow down with aging. She has angina and insists on shoveling herself out daily, running errands for friends, still working (from home) and complaining of alot of physical pain. Since the split (in July), she has been living alone in a small (ghetto) apartment that she chose not far from the house that we shared since 2000 when my father passed. She wanted to be close to her customers (sewing and minor alterations). We've moved closer to the church in a lovely upper duplex that was recently renovated. I've asked to come up for lunch, supper, tea, each time we finish our dancing class...but she declines. I don't know why. Maybe she feels as if she is imposing...maybe she's just too tired and wants to go home. In any case, I am grateful for the little time that we do have together each week. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. God bless you all!

(((((((((((Dave)))))))))))) so sorry you have been poorly, that sounded really scary, your are in my prayers for complete healing and recovery.

I have had a very hectic few weeks, we are moving to the next town and it has all happened so fast, we decided to move nearer to where my hubby works as it was becoming to expensive to travel, my daughter applied for a job and she has been accepted, so it is all systems go.

We were really praying about it because I cannot drive and wanted to be near a church so I can get there easily for all the activities and voluntary work, also evening services when hubby is working night shift so I would not have far to go, I hate relying on others for lifts even though people have been so kind and have always helped me to church were I lived before.

We are renting so there was very little choice and a small window of time to settle on a home, well I couldn't believe it we found the perfect home and it is literally the next road to a very vibrant church with loads going on, praise the Lord he answered that prayer.

The house is also cheaper to rent than the others on offer and was more spacious and in better condition inside, money was becoming so tight and this is going to make such a difference to our finances also as I haven't been able to work for a while because of being poorly.

I have recently found out that I have an underactive thyroid condition, I had been poorly for some time and was going down hill fast, my hair was falling out like mad, I was putting it all down to the manapause because I was finding it so difficult to remember things and had such a foggy brain, but the sympoms worsened to a point that I could hardly walk so went to doctors and was diagnosed also with high blood pressure and anemea.

Also the horrible pain in my muscles was all down to the underactive thyroid too, anyway the doctor has precribed levothyroxine meds and iron tablets and I have been on them now for nearly three months do feel a lot better, my hair has stopped falling out, I am going for more tests this week to check my levels and blood pressure.

Please pray that the move goes well, we will be moving on the 4th march. Hope you all have a great weekend.

God bless.
