I like all kinds of old movies, but I'd have to say that my favorites were the old comedies:

Abbott and Costello
Oliver and Hardy
The Three Stooges
The Little Rascals
Harold Lloyd (Silent Movies)

My second most favorite would have to be all the old Westerns. Wow - the times were simple back then.

I LOVE old movies, my dad recorded almost 600 of them, my favorites were the Laurel and Hardy ones, LOL, I can be sick, but when I see them, I start laughing, now, there was good comedy, mercy, the stuff today is an insult to our intelligence.

I have "Meet John Doe"...what a story, I was surprised by its moral content.

Back then, they had the "Hays office" they would monitor all the movies and if there was anything that was not "right" they would not allow them to be shown, geesh, you sure do not have that today.

If you notice, all those old movies always mentioned God as well, man, those were terrific times, I am so glad to have a lot of them.

Well, our fire is still only 25% controlled, and going strong. I went to the fair grounds last night to donate some kitty food for the animals that are involved in the fires, I could not believe all the trucks that were bringing in cattle, pigs, horses, and small animals, I cried, all this is so sad.

It was hot today, almost 100 again, no rain in sight either, our air is pretty stagnent, this is not good for folks with respiratory problems. Even Seattle is going to be hot the next few days.

I hope everyone had a nice day, mine was OK, quiet however, I stayed inside and cool.

Good morning everyone
We had a busy week with errands and chores; PC time was limited because of that, as well as frequents t-storms.
When I could get online, I was heading to bed because the night storms kept me awake and I was beat

Yes they were funny. I liked Abbot and costello too. One time Costello was driving a bus really fast and Abbot was falling all over the place. He asked Costello why he was driving so fast and he said he was in a hurry to get to the filling station because the bus was low on gas.

You all sound wonderful today...my men are in the air, on their way to Alaska. I slept in due to being up so very late for me...
I am not reading good weather news for any of us really....we have drought conditions all over the place....I am so glad to belong to Jesus...He will return and we will have a new heaven and a new earth someday....what a future!!!!!

It may be cooler here today...sure hope so.

Those old movies sound so fun...we did get real entertainment from simple, wholesome actors and story lines.

As a new person to GE, I don't know what happened. It's disheartening to see adult men acting like drama queens in a Christian forum supposedly for seasoned adults.

Nothing was more annoying when my sons were young than to be driving down the highway and they were in the back seat arguing and picking on one another. I imagine it's the same for God watching our antics.

Good morning or afternoon.

I am sad whenever there is conflict between Christian brothers and sisters, I will keep all in my prayers.

It is going to be another hot day today, and mercy, the sky is hazy due to the fire. Our area has set up shelters and lots of places are taking donations for all the victims, it is so beautiful to see others helping others, even when some of the ones helping need help themself, this little area where I live, really does come to others aid, it is awesom.

I hope everyone has a nice day, I am going to stay in and be cool.

I was thinking the community would respond in a positive way...we have had too many days here like you are describing...fire is scary, the embers blow all over the place.
