The closest Trump ever came to calling people an enemy was when he said that he hated his opponents but Charlie Kirk love them. I will give you an opportunity to walk you false accusation back. In memory of the late great Charlie Kirk, prove me wrong.I mean, that person is our president so that's kind of a big deal.
Yeah, he wasn't talking about principles, he was talking about people.
Except Trump never called anyone a enemy in his speech. When someone shoots you in the ear and another hides in the bushes with a rifle trying to shoot you, you tend to think of your enemies as enemies
What on earth are you talking about? You didnt watch Trump's speech, did you.I don't doubt that lots of beauty and worship went on at Kirk's event but darkness was there as well. Satan thrives on lies and hate.
It was incredible to see Kirk's wife forgive the murderer. But, it was horrible and satanic to watch Trump lie and preach hate and see so many who claim to be Christians cheer for the vile which spewed out of his mouth.
It is our calling to love and be kind. I pray for the redemption of all of those that embraced Trump's message.
Yes I did. What on earth are you talking about? You didnt watch Trump's speech, did you.
Yes. One specific example was the disunity between Trump and Elon Musk. During the event, they both made amends and buried the hatchet. It was quite a beautiful thing. That's certainly one potential take, but that's hard to square with your earlier description of the unity as being "much needed". Was there much disunity among the Kirk fanbase prior to this? I wasn't aware that there was.
So where was all the vile lies and hate preaching?Yes I did.
Your statement is literally false. Show the exact time during Trump's speech at the Charlie Kirk memorial service where trump ever used the word "enemy" to describe another human being. I will wait. I find it interesting that you even quoted Trump's statement but the word 'enemy's is completely absent then say Trump "literally" said he hated his "enemies."He literally said that Charlie Kirk is looking down at him angry because, unlike Charlie Kirk, he hates his enemies, and that would disappoint him.
Much needed unity to Trump supporters....I think that overall, the memorial service did a very good job bringing much needed unity. Even Trump and Elon Musk buried the hatchet.
What would that have to do with what Trump said?I think we all can agree that one thing this country can unify under is love for God, country, and each other.
He did not hate his opponent he wanted the best for them,” Trump added. So where was all the vile lies and hate preaching?
The topic of the thread is about the memorial service, not just about what Trump said. You do realize that Trump was not the only speaker, right? So what about what Trump said? He talked about Charlie Kirk, his character, his love for his country, his love for God, his love for family, even his love for his opponents. Trump even talked about his courage to stand in the face of danger for a cause that he believed was greater than himself. You dont think that the left can be unified by that message? I am sorry that the only thing the left can be unified on is their hatred for Trump. That is sad. What would that have to do with what Trump said?
He was validating where a lot of people want to go, emotionally....There is no place for such hateful expression among Christians. His speech was fairly good, for Trump. He told some lies about why Kirk was shot but overall it was fairly good until he started into the hate part, and people cheering him on.
And the question that was asked was regarding Trump's speech at the memorial service on a thread where the Charlie Kirk memorial service is the topic. Then you accuse me of intellectual dishonesty when you provided black and white proof that you were putting words in Trump's mouth. I even gave you multiple opportunities to walk it back only for you to double down the false claims. That is true intellectual dishonesty. It's him talking about his enemies, my guy.
Nope. Wrong again. I said there was only one person who talked about 'enemies.' I never said it was Trump, you did. It was only after you made the false claim, I challenged you on it.You are arguing with me about something you actually said, and then said you disagreed with him about.
As I said, there as no problem with unity in the repbulican party.
To emphasize Kirk's character and how Charlie was the better man out of the two. Your point? Also, I will take your usage of the word 'opponents' as an admission that you were wrong about Trump calling people his enemies during the speech. He talked about the absence of love he has for his opponents, not quite the same thing but rock on.
Right… anything about the people here commenting on it?Charlie Kirk's Memorial Service: Let's Talk About That.
In rolls a slew of sarcastic, derogatory, disparaging remarks.
Kirk was an opponent of his opponents. He did not hate his opponent he wanted the best for them,” Trump added.
Trump is the enemy of his opponents.“That’s where I disagreed with Charlie, I hate my opponent and I don’t want the best for them, I’m sorry,” an animated Trump said to laughter and applause as he emphasized the word “hate.”
They were both Republicans and they were not who he was referring to.When someone shoots you in the ear and another hides in the bushes with a rifle trying to shoot you, you tend to think of your enemies as enemies
False!Where is your official source that says the would be Trump assassin was republican? They were both Republicans and they were not who he was referring to.
