My youth group have this thing that we do thats called WWTT (Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk). Its a Study of the bible where you read a chapter of the bible a day (we'll do a few chapters a week so its not confusing). Once you have read the chapter you go and find a verse from that chapter that stuck out most to you. then you write down what that verse meant to you, then you pray about it.
EXAMPLE:
Scripture-
Matt 10:27 - What I tell you in the darkness speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the house tops.
Observation Application:
What a great wotd! This scripture reminds me to not only talk to God in prayer, but equally important, to hear him in prayer! If I am not hearing Him in the darkness, what will I speak in the light?! If I am not hearing Him whisper in my ear, what will I proclaim on the housetops?! Makes me think about prayer differently...
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, help me to hear you today! I want to be still so that I can hear your marching orders for my day, my week... my life! Speak to me God! I'm listening!
We'll start the Study at John 10
Scripture:
John 10:1-2- "Most assuredly I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold door, but climbs up by some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the sheeperd of the sheep"
Observation/Application:
For me this scripture says that the only way into the kingdom of Heaven is through Christ. Anyone that tries to enter Heaven some other way is a robber/thief. But if you enter through Jesus you are not only a sheep of christ, but a sheeperd to those sheep that are lost. I know that my light needs to burn brighter so that others may find the way into heaven.
THE NEXT CHAPTER TO STUDY WILL COME IN 3 DAYS!!!
hopes this isnt to confusing??????????!!!!!!!!!!
