Changing plans

Absolutely nothing in my life is as I had imagined when I was growing up. But it is wonderful and I am happy--wouldn't trade it for anything. It really is true that God is able to bless us beyond all that we can ask or imagine.

Oh, crud. Where does it say in the Bible that we should not say "Tomorrow I'm going to do such and such?" Did John say it?

James 4:13-17

Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.

Hehe, I totally know how that goes. I was with a guy since I was 14 and then we broke up right before I turned 18. It was a pretty hard case for me since I missed out on so much of developing who I was apart from being someone's girlfriend or "lady" as the guys here say it. Being so young, I thought I'd be married by the time I was like... 21. Heh, now when I think about it... I could TOTALLY wait till like... well... a long time for marriage (My sister married when she was 18... I would NOT be able to do that ) Teehee. Last year when I started college, everything changed and continues to do so. I've now been "single" (well there's factors that did work into that ) for over a year and a half. Its been quite an adventure and I've learned so much about myself and about what I want in a relationship and moreover how a relationship should function. That in itself has proven to be an incredible journey... one that I do not regret in any way shape or form. God has definitely placed people into my life where they needed to be. Through it all, I've definitely grown emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Its hard to comprehend what exactly happens to your heart also as you mature in those aspects. It not only matures along with you, but it glows brighter and somehow more beautiful.

Anyway... I'm not really sure of where I was headed with that, but I definitely know what you were referring to.
