Name: Casimir Akakios
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Hair Color:
Eye Color: Hazel
Personality: Casimir, himself, is actually a really nice guy. He might be considered a little too altruistic at times. He tries to help other people to the best of his ability, and when he can't, he finds someone who can. Ironically, it was this willingness to help others that got him killed.
His other side, however, is almost completely opposite from him in every way. Kaki, as it is called, is extremely resourceful. He could also be considered absolutely evil. Kaki is selfish, concerned only with his (and Casimir's) physical safety and well-being. In essence, Kaki could be considered an intelligent animal intent on getting what it desires. It will stop at nothing to get what it wants. Of course, its immediate goal is to gain control of Casimir’s body, and after that, it does whatever it wishes. It has no morals and no restraints except those which Casimir enforces when he retains dominance. Kaki delights in causing pain, but he is smart enough to still look out for himself.
Kaki particularly enjoys torturing Casimir. These tortures do not come in the form of physical pain, obviously, but in emotional guilt. Every single evil thing that Kaki makes Casimir do hurts Casimir, making it easier for Kaki to tear past Casimir’s defenses. Even when Kaki has complete control, he will still torture Casimir, forcing him to watch as Kaki betrays Casimir’s friends and hurts innocents.
When the two do switch places, Kaki can quite easily imitate Casimir, with only subtle differences between the two. Still, most people don’t suspect it, and this can lead to horrid consequences. Kaki can go on with this act almost as long as he retains control.
Bio: Before his death, Casimir was a sculptor of no particular import. He barely scraped a living, staying in a friend’s apartment in New York City. Every once in a while, he would get lucky and sell one of his sculptures, most of which were of abstract design.
Still, even with his measly earnings, he did his best to help other people. Whenever he bought something, he’d tell the cashier to keep the change to help pay for the next person, and he was quite generous when a person came to him asking for something, anything.
He was involved in a serious relationship at one point, but two days before his death, she broke up with him in a coffee shop on the grounds that his lifestyle was too unstable for her. Understandably, he was rather distraught over the entire matter.
Casimir usually took daily walks, but now he was out of the apartment more frequently. While sitting on a bench, watching the clouds and the moon one night, he was mugged. Casimir was hit in the back of the neck with a metal pole, breaking his neck and killing him instantly, a victim of the same people whom he tried to help on a daily basis.
"Powers:" A separate entity has taken up residence in Casimir's mind, going by the name of 'Kaki.' This entity could be considered Casimir's opposite in almost every way. Where Casimir would build, Kaki destroys. Where Casimir would love, Kaki would hate. Where Casimir would run, Kaki would fight. The two are aware of each other’s existences, but they can only take control over the body one at a time.
Usually, Casimir asserts dominance over the other entity. However, he can always hear it whispering thoughts in his head, ever tempting him. It requires a large amount of willpower to keep this demon contained within him. If Casimir is distracted too much, Kaki seizes the opportunity to highjack Casimir’s body, usually with dastardly results.
While Casimir is normally a very altruistic person, doing anything he can to help others, he can only watch helplessly from the backseat as
Whether this entity is completely real or simply another figment of Casimir's imagination, he doesn't know.
