As a store brand, Almond Joy.

Bissinger’s is a chocolatier in my area. It’s been in business for decades. A little pricey, but their products are excellent. The truffles-in many varieties- are especially good.

Reese's peanut butter cups are probably my favorite. Really love candy that combines chocolate and peanut butter.
Me too!

interesting. I don't think I ever had Payday or ate chocolate with beer.
Stay with dark chocolate if you’re going to experiment.
Milk chocolate doesn't play well with hops.

I really love snickers too! I also love Kit Kats.

Fun fact: When I visited England, Wales, and Ireland, I realized British/European Chocolate and American chocolate are so different. I'm not sure how to describe the taste. American chocolate is almost chemically made if that makes sense.

I definitely had Maltese and Toffee Crisps when I was in England! It tasted different.

My aunt is grieving her husband of 60 years passing away, and she recently told me he called her his "Kit Kat"

I think I should send her a box of kit kats of various flavors!

Thing is, Payday isn't chocolate, or at least the original isn't. I think I've seen a newer chocolate covered version in a store. The original was salty peanuts held together by some caramel-like concoction. I've never actually had it with beer, but in theory, I think it could work.

I don't think I ever had a Payday bar. I guess I always assumed it was elderly people candy, lol.
Well it's a Payday bar. I assumed it was for working people. I think you're thinking of the Social Security bar.

Actually it was my favorite as a teenager. Haven't had one in ages though.

I used to love eating Baby Ruth bars as a kid. Personally, I consider that an elderly person's candy too. Based on my nonsense criteria.

Actually, Baby Ruth was my first taste of independence. Cannot remember how old I was, but the first time my parents let me travel to the gas station by myself I picked up a Baby Ruth candy bar. Did that frequently a lot back then. Sadly though... a few years later a kid did die going the same route I routinely took to get to the gas station. I know for her she actually ran back to her house to get change and on the way back to the gas station she was struck by a car. Not sure if she was getting a Baby Ruth candy bar or not.. lol.
