  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can people who disagree on abortion stop attacking each other?

God knows everything that will happen. He already knows who will be lost and who will be saved.
Who will be born and what they will do in life including their thoughts.

Psalm 139 also includes:
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.

I don't view his foreknowing as preordained. That would indicates some kind of arbitrary choosing and that isn't what God does. God wants all to be saved but he already sees those who have died, who are living and those yet to come as already saved or lost from the creation of the world. God is outside of time and not held to past, present and future. How exactly that works is not something for us to fully understand until we stand in his presence.

The fact that they separate after conception is the complication which defeats the claim that life begins at conception.
