I wont get into the whole specifics of my dream 2 days ago but I was praying against an evil presence and after I had rid the area of it a strange bird circled the house and said to me "GO get your kids, for the Bridegroom cometh!" Any comments/ suggestions/interpretations? In my dream I was trying to testify but was jolted awake before I could.

Oops...just reported instead of replying. Sorry about that. Anyway, there was nothing wrong with the post!

the bridegroom part is clear enough. Jesus referred to himself as that in

a. the parable of the 10 virgins

b. the bridegroom coming for his bride in Revelation

c. The question over why His disciples did not fast (they don't fast when the bridegroom is with them)

The reference is clearly to His return.

I guess I don't see anything against the scriptures in it. Spiritual warfare is a scriptural theme.

I guess the only question is, would there be something that this applies to in your life? Ie. ...are there things you need to tell your kids so they will be ready? Or perhaps that they are in need of prayer cover due to spiritual forces at work in them now? (which are pictured as clearing in the dream after prayer).

If it is a dream that is not from God, I don't see it as a harmful one. Better than a lot of other things you could be dreaming about!

Monie, I used to chat with a young man from England that had prophetic dreams all the time. They were sometimes very scary (specifically about things that were going to happen to his family during the tribulation). He started writing them down as soon as he woke up and he'd take them to his Sabbath school teacher. Not one of his dreams went against scripture. You could very well have been given this gift.

My advice is to start writing them down, in as much detail as you can remember and pray before you look up references in scripture. If they match scripture and start happening more frequently I would definitely take them to people (pastors, etc) that can see what it could possibly mean.

I have dreams all the time, but the older I get the less I remember them. It drives me crazy!

I really don't know what your dream meant either. Years and years ago when I was a kid, I had a very vivid dream. The fact that I am now 56 yrs old and came still remember it like it was yesterday says a lot. It too was about the second coming and at that time--I had never even been to a church or read the bible. I was 9 yrs old when I had this dream. But the impact of it today keeps me aware of my spiritual condition.
