I believe that God is self-existent and can not change from this.Is total self-termination or total self-obliteration within the parameters of God's abilities? Or do we conclude that no matter how he might feel concerning his own existence, He is incapable of such an act?
That is a very profound thought. Why should there be anything at all-even an Almighty God.I believe that God is self-existent and can not change from this.
At times, I wonder at how there is any existence, at all . . . versus there being nothing. And we have One such as God who is love.
how can you know who is born of the Holy Spirit and who is not, especially if you are not God Himself?!
Luke 5:32 "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
it is evident from what is said in this verse that there had also been righteous people in this world even before the Lord, Jesus, was born in it, so how can you prove that none of those who had been born in this world before His coming 2 millennia ago was born of the Holy Spirit?!
2 Peter 1:20-21 "no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

because THE HOLY SPIRIT had not yet been given because that CHRIST JESUS had not yet been glorified (John 7:39)
Do you mean when the Spirit of CHRIST was in them prophecying of the glory that was to cone not understanding that they would not be made perfect without us?yes, it is so, but on the other hand you still don't explain why Jesus said that He came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance?!, as well as why St Peter said that the Holy men of God in old time were moved/driven by the Holy Spirit?!
Blessings
HE actually did and sorry I responded before reading your post asking people not to respondThere is a total misunderstanding here and it is in relation of the holy spirit's function prior to and after the New Covenant was established. The subject is interesting and I would gladly like to continue it and will make a thread about it at the theology forum. However, to discuss it here is to deviate the thread from its intended purpose. Please stay on subject and if you wish to discuss another then make a thread of your own. Thanks!
Please discuss it here. Thank you.

Also, please address the person you are talking-to directly in order to avoid confusion and have the courtesy to respond when spoken to.

As to calling sinners and not the righteous to repentence.
Please tell me who it is who will stand before HIM and declare themselves "righteous" since the very WORD of GOD says there is not one who does right and never sins?
No. and the holy apostles wouldn't have told you that it was by their own power or holiness that they did these things eitherare you more perfect than those Holy Apostles?!, can you heal every sick person of every disease, or resurrect every person that died prematurely?!
Blessings
Not for all their lives no. They hadnt been righteous for all their livesare you trying to say that none of the Prophets such as Moses, Elijah, Jonah, etc. no was ever righteous?!, had They been unrighteous for all their lives?!
Blessings
