  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had it in mind for those two threads to intertwine... it seemed to me the most reasonable way to get everyone together. Nadi, Tsaien and Minion are already sorta thrown together and seem to be loosely affiliated with the sk'kirrim (or at least are not averse to them) and I'm guessing that Phaedros Allarena and Tosan will probably end up in cahoots as well. The sk'kirrim were going to talk to the people up top and warn them of new developments, and they would in turn pass the information on to Phaedros when he goes and talks with them. At that point, the two groups would probably end up meeting.

Not sure how to get 'em to work together, though. I guess it would have to be the one request made by the sk'kirrim... Phaedros wouldn't exactly be thrilled about Tsaien's presence, but under the circumstances he's willing to do just about anything besides sit around and blindly trust that the sk'kirrim will do their job. (Religious schisms have a way of interfering with duties... )

Beats me. Not that I care, really. Just a stupid question.

Another stupid question-- if a vacuum cleaner sucks, is that good or bad? It sucks and picks up dirt, but it could also suck and be a really bad vacuum...

UPDATE-- I've now very crappily introduced the one person (a sk'kirrim, of course) widely regarded as responsible for the grim situation the world faces today... the one who was pretty much single-handedly responsible for the catastrophic fall of the sk'kirrim civilization. Because she is such an important background figure, I've even posted her bio. Everybody's characters would definitely know of her, but very little about her. (I brought her back from the last RPG I was in... she was SUCH a fun charrie to play! )
