The first 3 Promises of the Bible

Promise #1 Food
Genesis 1:29
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb producing seed that is on the whole earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree producing seed: it shall be food for you;
30and to every animal of the earth, and to every fowl of the heavens, and to everything that creepeth on the earth, in which is a living soul, every green herb for food. And it was so.
Mankind was given grain, fruits and in Chapter 9 of Genesis are also given animals as food. However animals are NOT created to eat each other and won't do so in the new millennium or the new earth.
Isaiah 11:6-9
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the young lion and the fatted beast together, and a little child shall lead them.
And the cow and the she-bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the adder, and the weaned child shall put forth its hand to the viper's den. 9They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah 65:25
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith Jehovah.

Notice that dust is the serpents food. Before we become the new creation we are also dust of the earth. Becoming a new creation in Christ lifts us to the heavenlies and out of satan's foodchain.

:29 Literaly, on which is the fruit of a tree seeding seed. Before the fall God ordained that mankind should eat only the plantlife, the nourishing generating life. After the fall mankind needs to eat not only plant life but animal life, which involves the shedding of blood and implies the need for redemption (Hebrews 9:22) Bread is of the vegetable life (John 6:51) and is only for feeding; flesh is of the animal life and is not only for feeding but for redeeming. Before the fall the Lord was the tree of life (Genesis 2:9) which is only for feeding mankind. After the fall Jesus became the Lamb (John 1:29) not only for feeding but also redeeming. (Exodus 12:4, 7-8)

Promise #2 Protection
Genesis 4:15
And Jehovah said to him, Therefore, whoever slayeth Cain, it shall be revenged sevenfold. And Jehovah set a mark on Cain, lest any finding him should smite him.

Divine Intervention?
There aren't many instances that God intervenes. Few, in fact where He acted alone.

Genesis 3:21
And Jehovah Elohim made Adam and his wife coats of skin, and clothed them.
Genesis 9:2
And let the fear of you and the dread of you be upon every animal of the earth, and upon all fowl of the heavens: upon all that moveth [on] the ground; and upon all the fishes of the sea: into your hand are they delivered.

Promise #3 Faithfulness
Genesis 6:18
But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark;you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you.[/indent]

Entrusted to them?

Isaiah 26:20
Go, my people, enter your rooms
and shut the doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
until his wrath has passed by.
Psalms 50:5
"Gather to me my consecrated ones,
who made a covenant with me by sacrifice."
Zeckeriah 9:11
As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you,
I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.
1 Peter 3:20
who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water,

The curse placed on the woman "they desire shall be to thy husband and he shall have dominion over you" Genesis 3:16 is repeated in Genesis 4:7 when God was talking to Cain after his fall "if you do well will you not be accepted and if you don't do well sin will be at your door and his desire will be to you but you must master it"

-if you do well- by choosing to co-operate with God His way places us in a marriage of God/human help meet ,an acceptable place to be.

- if you don't do well places us as gods unto ourselves in a human/sin marriage where we constantly need to keep watching our backs

but notice another relationship that took place when the fallen angels took humans as the wives. Genesis 6:2-3

So there were 3 possible relationships that resulted from the fall
- God / human help meet
- human / black widow help meet
- demon / human help meet

Thank goodness God destroyed the last one with the flood, or did He? There were still giants in the promised land

We're on Satan's food chain until we are transformed into the new creation at which time we no longer belong to the world but are seated in the heavenlies. Only our bodies are still subject to natural laws. Our human spirits have been reborn and are responsive/responsible to the Holy Spirit, the mind needs to be kept on Christ/His Kingdom and is renewed. The fruit of the Spirit, in which we are supposed to operate has no law against it, however we can and do come out from under God's protection as much as Eve did and we do it on a daily basis when we don't discipline ourselves to follow Jesus in His Word.
Satan lays in wait for whom he can devour, so have mastery over pride. God gave that to Cain, who was the first to sin and still is true today.

Revelation 1:5-7
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

The battle belongs to the Lord but we are called to fight.

Revelation 12:7
Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels.

CHARLES SPURGEON'S EVENING - THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2017

War always will rage between the two great sovereignties until one or other be crushed. Peace between good and evil is impossibility; the very pretence of it would, in fact, be the triumph of the powers of darkness. Michael will always fight; his holy soul is vexed with sin, and will not endure it. Jesus will always be the dragon's foe, and that not in a quiet sense, but actively, vigorously, with full determination to exterminate evil.
The duty of every soldier in the army of the Lord is daily, with all his heart, and soul, and strength, to fight against the dragon. The dragon and his angels will not decline the affray; they are incessant in their onslaughts, sparing no weapon, fair or foul.

We're foolish to expect to serve God without opposition: the more zealous we are, the surer are we to be assailed by the myrmidons of hell.
The church may become slothful, but not so her great antagonist; his restless spirit never suffers the war to pause; he hates the woman's seed, and would fain devour the church if he could.

The servants of Satan partake much of the old dragon's energy, and are usually an active race. War rages all around, and to dream of peace is dangerous and futile.
Glory is to God; we know the end of the war. The great dragon shall be cast out and forever destroyed, while Jesus and they who are with Him shall receive the crown. Let us sharpen our swords to night, and pray the Holy Spirit to nerve our arms for the conflict. Never battle so important, never crown so glorious. Every man to his post, ye warriors of the cross, and may the Lord tread Satan under your feet shortly!

The weapons we're to use are the Word of God and to be in God is to be in His love.

Satan lays in wait for whom he can devour, so have mastery over pride, God seems to be saying to Cain when the curse is first talked about by God. Jesus purchased for us adoption into a new family line, but the flesh is still not redeemed and can still be eaten away at.
The deadly sins are pride of life and lusts of flesh and eye. And that's where satan lies in wait. Great topic that deserves recognition as a part of salvation (of the flesh at least!!, definately).

1 Peter 5:8 are the words from the Genesis acct. that states to Cain that if he were to do well that he would be accepted but if not satan seeks to destroy him and then goes on to say that "satan's desire is to him and he (Cain) will rule over him" Genesis 4:7 However that was before the flood and the estate of the world was taken by the fallen angels. After the flood the animals were placed in fear of humans, it doesn't say anything about dominion. I don't see humans losing dominion right after the fall.
I firmly believe that we are satans foodchain until the time of regeneration, but that doesn't mean rule belongs to satan unless given concentiously to his demons. Mankind does rule itself in many ways. Even tho satan has rule of wordly things.
Jude 6 says that the angels that didn't keep their first estate are kept in darkness until the great throne judgement. It doesn't say 1/3 that are the fallen took wives but those that did are in chains. I think that when Noah cursed Ham that's the road opened to satan to move in. Noah had 3 sons Ham, Shem and Jepheth. The Israelites came from Shem and I think the gentiles from Jepheth b/c of the mention of Gomer in the lineage.

Ham=Ninivah=Babylon=Sodom and Gomorah =Philistines etc.
THEY are the GIANTS, the Caananites, of the good land that was the inheritance of the Israelites, the giants that they were to conquer.

Christ created the means to remove us from satans foodchain, slaveblock on which the flesh rules etc. The demons can and do work in diseases etc. still when we are in Christ because of not being regenerated in the flesh yet, but he renews our minds and spirit to His heights. Previous to that the heart and mind produces things contrary to God. Some of the flesh, some worldly, pride and murders...not all are of satan.

Clarity on the pivotal points,, it seems to be needed.. from the seeds of Genesis comes the rest of the growth of the bible till mature fruit is reached..

Jesus, when referring to separating the sheep from the goats and the wheats from the tares, tells of the goats boasting to Him "we did this and that in Your name" "Get away from Me, He said, I don't know you" But yet the sheep said to Him "when did we do this or that?" His judgement on these to two types of people sends one away from His Presence.

He tells us also to not let our right hand know what the left is doing in matters of almsgiving. In this way the Spirit's work, only, (Christ in me) is done whereas anything else is just self-exalting and fit for the fire.
After all, we are, only, the Master's weapon in His Hand in His fight to destroy evil once and for all. But we're not equipted do it on our own. That was proven in the garden, and the same fate awaits all those who try to engage the serpent on his own terms (the world's ways).
Our fight is against the evil powers. The battle really does belong to the Lord and we're priveleged to be the witnesses of what God is doing. Cain chose his own path and Abel died. Jesus died to overcome the evil results of humans independant from God, those who choose the tree of knowledge of good and evil over dependancy on God (The tree of life). But the overcoming is being found in Him.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus (the bride, overcomer) unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (in His power).

2 Coronthians 5:15 And He died for all that those who live may no longer live to themselves (not according to sin, satan, the world) but to Him who died for them and has been raised. (17) So then if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (the bride, overcomer). The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new. (new birth from hearing of the word)

1 Corinthians 15:45 ...the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit. (The Power needed to overcome the serpent)

Instead of being the helpmeet of God (men & women=humanity) they have the serpent as their helpmeet (God said to Cain his desire will be to you) Humanity controlled by fallen angels are the third relationship possible (possession) the giants that God seeked to destroy and Jesus casts out.

Married to God

First Being Buried, Then Married

Rom 7:3 ...but if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress, though she is joined to another man. (4) So then, my brothers and sisters, you also have been made dead to the law through the body of Christ so that you might be joined to another, to Him who has been raised from the dead, that we might bear fruit to God.

...we, the believers, after being saved, have two statuses; the old and the new. Because of the fall we are the old man, and because of regeneration we are the new man. As the old man we were the husband having satan as our helpmeet (compare the curse to the woman and the words to Cain); as the betrothed we are legally bound as the wife, submissive to the rule of Jesus.

We,
[as the old man]
, were not put to death as a result of suicide, but through the body of Christ, meaning that we died on the cross of Christ. The phrase through the body of Christ modifies death, indicating what sort of death it was. When Christ was crucified, we died with Him. We need to compare this with Romans 6:6, which says, Knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with Him. No doubt, the you that have been made dead to the law through the body of Christ in 7:4 is the old man who has been crucified with Him in 6:6. In this verse Paul puts together a funeral and a wedding. On the one hand, we were buried; on the other hand, we were married. We have been made dead that we might marry another. We were made dead according to our old status that we might marry another according to our new status. According to our new status, we marry Him who has been raised from among the dead, that we might bear fruit to God. Brothers and sisters, we are the bride who is dead to the old marraige of satan's worldly self-rule.

Today we are being called on to build our marraige on the sure foundation of love, trust and belief in Him who is our Husband and 1st Love. Leaving Egypt behind, no longer married to the world. No more wilderness wanderings, today He has brought us to the good land where good seed has been planted, here to dwell and successfully abide with Him. Tomorrow the prodigal daughter returns on the strong arm of her Husband to the Father's house. Jesus has built it, our new home awaits. We are the stones being built up into a spiritual house.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've posted a few times on the pattern God set before us on marraige. The most truthful answer I heard came from a fellow who said " I agree that men and women share the role of bride. But most men don't want to think about it because then they'd have to evaluate what kind of a wife they are" Well, us women aren't fairing too much better and we have social training to be good wives whereas men have had the dubious pleasure of displaying the Bridegroom's role.
First off our Groom is the only One fit for the role. Tender subject it is but satan invented the male myth and the world has been at the feet of the masculine god ever since. Impossible to live up to. Just as how the female myth is perpetuated to bring women down to it's low level.
All of us know what we want from our spouses and what they expect from us. It's a 24-7 job of meeting others (realistic) expectations. And God has those expectations of us as His bride. I often think, when I'm praying for something "Is this a request He, as my Husband would grant"? I have come to realize that He doesn't care about my pettiness. He only cares about His marraige and what's good for His marraige and I need to know when to step down.
So great a mystery.
``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
and the two shall become one..the fulfillment

When a person accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, believing on Him as the Son of God and personal Redeemer, the One who saves him from his sins, a wonderful event takes place. The Spirit of God enters his very body, there to reside and to guide his new life in Christ. Henceforth he is, whether he senses it or not, "in the Spirit." "Ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His" (Romans 8:9).

The believer's body even becomes a temple in which the Spirit can reign over his life. "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (I Corinthians 6:19-20).

In addition to leading us (through the Scriptures which He inspired and through the circumstances which He ordains), "The Spirit beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God" (Romans 8:16). "Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit" (I John 4:13).

The indwelling, comforting, leading, witnessing Spirit is not alone, for Jesus promised that, when the Comforter comes to "be in you," then through the Spirit, "I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you" (John 14:17,20). Thus we can "be filled with all the fulness of God" (Ephesians 3:19).

Such a marvelous relationship will surely transform our lives. As our text exhorts us: "If we live in the Spirit" we should certainly "walk in the Spirit." The practical result is then obvious. "Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16). "days of praise'

BTW I think there's a huge gap between the overcomer vs the new man, both are saved but aren't one and the same (or the connection has eluded me ... the missing link)

Happy Sunday! Please share your thoughts on these things..God bless!
