  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Be fruitful and multiply. Said God to Adam and Eve IN the Garden(Gen 1:28). So to me, that means they had Children allready, before Cain and Abel. Maybe, several, and those children might have had children allready...on and on..This was before Childbirth was Painful(Gen 3:16), so maybe generating offspring was Purely pleasurefull thing..and quick...who knows...Also The Scriptures never say how long they were IN the garden. Adam Had Seth when he was 130...so Who knows how long he was when he had Cain adn abel...70? 80?....Im not speculating...

I hope this helps a Bit, Jesus Bless you. -S

Would Cain's siblings accept the murderer of their brother into their midst?
Why would the oldest sons, Cain and Abel, live near their parents while younger children moved away? That doesn'r make any sense.
Is it possible that Cain went to live with other people like the Neanderthal's? Since they eventually died out, maybe they weren't acceptable to God.
I'm just speculating here. Has anyone else ever given this any thought?

Oh, and No Cains "siblings" Would not acept him to live among them, without wanting to Kill him, thats why God put a mark on his head, and said for no one to harm him. And no, his OLDER siblings would be the ones that moved away.

not harming him and breeding with him are kinda different.

Wait what? Ok things got a little confussled.

A&E Had Children. THEN they had Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel. God marked Abel as so no one would kill him. He went To go among the Other children, There Him and his wife had a child, and named him Enoch. There are no other talk of Neanderthals. Neanderthals never existed. But im not having a sci-fi conversation.

Jesus bless you.

So Cains wife was a "Neanderthal"?
Cain's wife was his sister?
Cain had older sibling's. That's news to me.
It's called speculating, asking questions, or whatever. MAYBE this is something that you are incapable of doing.
If you choose NOT to believe in the Neanderthal's, even though there is scientific proof that they existed, that is up to you.

Hahah WOAH ok I see light hearted coversations of something NO ONE will be able to prove has just turned into a Cage match. Jesus bless you. -S

Good observation. Isn't this the case with EVERY conversation about topics of "faith"? What vileness is in flesh....that cause one to elevate Self and lower another because of some perceived "truth" that the Self cannot even truly prove to ItSelf?

Isn't the TRUE answer to this question: Nobody really knows. ?

They probably weren't selective. They probably lacked information. These were probably oral stories passed down from word to mouth for many generations.
In your opinion, what people did Cain go to live with?

There are several possibilities.

One is that the hebrew word Adam was plural as in this verse. Meaning it was the human race rather than an individual.

Gen 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
Gen 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

The word man in this verse is adam in the hebrew.

Exo 9:9
And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

So in the hebrew , it uses the same hebrew word adam for the human race or mankind.

This option though is unorthodox teaching and has a lot of problems if one believes the New Testament. I think Adam was an individual but also take note that this possibility of God creating many people is one theory out there.

Another possibility is that Cain married his sister or married the daughter of one of his brothers. This is the one that I lean towards.

Still another possiblity is that there were many sons and daughters born to Adam and Eve. It was 130 years until Seth was born so there could have been several generations. This still leaves the question though of brothers and sisters marrying. Although it is possible that it was other brothers and sisters and not a more distant relative of cain's that he marryed. When you think about it , if we all descended from Adam , we are all related. It is just a matter of how closely we are related which is relative ( pardon the pun).

BereanStudent - Let me throw this at you.
1. If it took over 100 years for Adam and Eve to sin, why were all of their innocent offspring punished also?
2. Could there have been another race of people? According to the scientists, the Homo-sapiens, eventually, wiped out the Neanderthal's. Could Adam and Eve have been the first Homo-sapiens?
These are a couple of my thoughts.

Adam was given dominion over the earth. That would have included apes. There are a lot of details that we just do not know.

Here is says that God placed Adam in the garden. After sin , Adam was driven out of the garden.

Gen 2:8
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

I know that some people believe that man was created or formed as a process and not instantly.

Of course, humans are much more highly intelligent, but they are very genetically similar to other mammals. They have many of the same body parts. This would lead one to believe that they came from the same gene pool.
There did have to be that first human who had the ability to comprehend the world around him, able to add 1+1 and then more complicated problems, able to love another human, etc.
I believe in evolution - painted by an "Artist". To me, it makes the most sense.
But that's just me.
In case I have been wandering too much on this post, let me just say that I'm open to possibilities - at least those that make sense.

I've come to the possibility that the people that laughed at Noah while he was building his ark, were the people of Atlantis.
