  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please pray that my husband care for our family. He's helping all of his friends with their houses while ours falls apart. Leaky roofs, leaking basement, funace acting up. Can't pay all the heating bill. Just paid this month's mortgage. Didn't go to the doctor today to follow up with my leaky heart valve because I don't have the $10 to co-pay...and I just don't want to deal with it. I'm tired. I'm sick of feeling like I do everything...and my everything isn't nearly enough.

Haven't finished the taxes. Please pray that our financial needs be met.

I'd really like it if someone would pray for my husband to act like the husband I always wanted and never had. I'd like to be taken care of for awhile instead of giving all I have and getting nothing in return...other than from my child. My heart is growing cold towards my husband.

Please lift my burdens, Lord. I can't do all of this and raise Your little Nikki, too. Please don't let my chimney fall over or cave in. Please help me with these bills, and health issues. Please heal Nikki's sinus problems. Please send me energy to keep on going on with all of this big, ugly mess called a marriage. Please fill me up, Lord. I'm running low. I need to feel You near me. Please send me friends and promises. Please hear my needs and take care of them. I need You. Amen.

Lord, Dawn Marie has too much on her plate right now and needs her husband to pick up more of the burden. He is busy helping everyone else now for some reason. Whatever the reason, whether it be that he is insecure and needs approval of other people, or if he is not comfortable being there for his wife and family, or if some other thing is blocking him, either self-imposed or by evil activities, from taking care of first things first, remove that thing and get him focused back on the most important thing: the wife and family that you have given HIM as his primary mission in life. Impress upon him that no other service he might be doing for you or others is as important to you than to care for the ones you gave him and the home you let him live in. Impress upon him that his family and his home is not just a gift from you, but an obligation to you. Amen.

The Lord's hand is upon us. I started to fix one of the roofs yesterday, and my husband came up...told me I was doing everything wrong...and fixed one roof. Sigh. A chimney, and two other roofs to go. And the walls in the basement. I've been asking him for years to fix something. Yesterday was the day. I'm absolutely positive that the credit belongs to you and the Lord. Thank you for praying with me, and I wanted you to know that years of my praying alone didn't do much. You've made me heard.
