In Norse mythology, Ragnarok ("Fate of the Gods" [1]) is the final battle waged between the Æsir, led by Odin, and the various forces of the giants or Jötnar, including Loki, followed by the destruction of the world and its subsequent rebirth. Not only will most of the gods, giants and monsters involved perish in this apocalyptic conflagration, but almost everything in the universe will be torn asunder and destroyed.
I somewhat agree(with the fact that hell is gonna be awfully crowded)..One Early Church Father(I think Augustine) said that if hell was opened just a little bit that the smell itself would be enough to kill all humans on earth..
There have been many visions of people in hell as black embers piled up next to each other in a great sea.

Some of the punishments in hell according to the vision include:
Blasphemers are hung by the tongue.
Women who use makeup, or dress in a sexually suggestive manner, are hung by the hair over a bubbling mire (and men that had sex with them are hung by the feet next to them).
Murderers are set in a pit of poisoned snakes
Men who take the passive role in anal sex, and sexually active lesbians, are hurled off a great cliff, and then made to climb it again, ceaselessly.
Women who have abortions are set in a lake formed from the blood and gore from all the other punishments, up to their necks.

Wake up call is right. Folks have become so pacified by people preaching all of this seeker friendly dribble, that very few preach repentance anymore.
There will unfortunately be a lot of folks in hell who thought they were going to heaven because they opted for the "loving" sermon instead of the love sermon that speaks to their need for repentance , and the grace and mercy of a loving Jesus Christ.

Don't worry, we've got a special one lined up for you, it's called the bone muncher ;pSo how is this going to work then? I mean I qualify for a couple of those punishments in hell. Do I get to pick which one I prefer? Or is it going to be alternate days? Is the bubbling mire hot? And what happens if my hair falls out?
Also, murderers seem to get off lightly. If the snakes are poisoned they'll probably die won't they? And what if they've just got grass snakes? Maybe I should do a murder then to ensure a cushier time in hell.
I sure hope God has already thought of these problems and come up with some solutions.

*disagrees* I think what your describing is x-tianity becoming a moderate religion rather than an extreme one. IF you want hellfire and sulfure storms, go back to 1820 or something. I think that's when the Great Reawakening happened.
Those are the fun onesDon't forget the one where you get chopped up to pieces on a conveyor belt, or punished for you gluttony but being forced-fed your favorite food until you literally burst.
