Hmmm... I think what helps is to seek His will and His kingdom first and above all, because when we take our focus off of what we want for ourselves and bring it to what He wants for us, He helps us with those desires of our hearts as well and gives us comfort for those things that we want but do not have (yet)... He's very gentle and loving about it too and will help us to see why He has not given us those things we are after and often it is because He has better/different plans for us. And then other times it's just a matter of patience. Look at Abraham & Sarah for example.

Totally agree. I pray for William to find a wonderful, godly woman that deserves him.

Sometimes it would be nice to have someone to spoil, but then, I think of all of the whisky I could be buying with that money instead, and I have a rapid change of heart. But, besides that, I'm impartial really.
I've got the irony of doing well business wise and never having anyone to spoil.
You can only send such a nice gift to a friend, and not have it come off weird.

Wait, what? :-/
The makeup thing makes sense. The other. I can't have an opinion or I'll be shot.
Yeah I do concur the infatuation is kind of superficial and not lasting.
Whilst the latter holds on, and carries a lot of legitimacy or weight.

Neither of you are funny, I hope you know that. Lol
I've had friend who never wear makeup. Others who say they don't want to talk since they are a mess, etc.
But usually they wind up talking anyways, and are surprised to know sometimes guys don't care or that they want somebody to feel comfortable. They might appreciate some effort, but real life isn't having everything perfect, and dialed in 24/7

Best: I don't really know, I guess the logistics of certain things are easier.

Worst:
- No one to get intimate* with
- No one to spoil with my time and money
- Only have platonic friends and family
- Can't help someone become a better person and you can't be a better person in the only way a S.O. can

*I do not mean sex, I'm talking about things like intimate conversations, cuddling, etc.

It is for me. I'm a perfectionist, so I have to be put together.

I hate to say it, but my youngest sister was that way. She kept rolls of paper in her car so the floor mats wouldn't get dust or dirt on them. Her house had to be neat as a pin. She had to have makeup on and her hair fixed before she even went to work. And it wasn't as if she worked in an office or anything. She worked in a factory. Freightliner to be exact. She helped build freight trucks.

All that changed when she had her daughter. She learned many valuable lessons. lol Same with my dad. He always had to be neat. His hair combed perfectly. Then, after my brother was born, he was at the hospital, changing his diaper, when my brother crapped all over his nice white shirt. He didn't have a car at the time, so he rode the city bus home with a crap covered shirt. lol Neatness didn't seem to mean as much after that. lol

Don't worry. I'll remember them and if CF ever had a meetup, I will break their legs for you. lol

Wow that's a bit extreme, and so much effort. LOL
How about we just bring a waxing kit and make them suffer through all the same pain that women go through and then they'll be quicker to hold their tongue.
