Cool! I personally never found a good deal, but I've heard of incredible finds. Maybe someday I'll find a Modular Moog and Hammond B3 for $50!
Maybe you will.. and each one will need about $7000 in repairs to be ready to go!

If you're interested in analog modulars though, you may want to check out some of the newer companies; you can buy single modules (pre-built or as kits) or full systems. I'm building one piece-by-piece at present, and using what I have as gtr/kybd effects until I get some oscillators; I only can afford a module every 2-3 months or so but it's a lot of fun... Plus you can go beyond the standard multiple VCO/VCF/VCA/EG configuration that was the Moog modular. Here are a few...

List any good instruments/equipment you've found...

A few years ago a friend showed me a black Epiphone Les Paul Custom in a local pawn shop. I bought it for about $150, cleaned it up, bought a case, strap, and some Dunlop Straplocks for it, and used it for a studio gig. When I was through with it, I sold it on eBay for $400, or twice my total investment. Not a bad deal, if you ask me.
