Here's one that I took on election night last November. I walked up to the courthouse and it was all aglow with lights until after midnight. Everything was steamy (both temp-wise and emotionally) inside so I just took my time in the cool night and took pictures. It was so peaceful out on the sidewalks. This is an old Gothic-style building, reminiscent of the Old South. I love its southern atmosphere, the marble floors and walls, and the wide open staircase that leads to the church-style courtroom upstairs.

Here on the steps of this courthouse we as a community joined hands in prayer every single night last year from April 9, when Tommy Hammill, our neighbor and friend, was captured in Iraq, until the middle of July, long after he returned. It will always be hallowed ground to me where we scarcely dare to walk without taking off our shoes.

Here are some animal contributions of mine from various periods in my hobby... I was looking back through my photography directory and found some I had forgotten. I took this photo during the show-jumping events at an exhibition/show in Brisbane a couple of years ago. The cat is my now-deceased kitten Ninja, and is one of my favourite photos I took of him. He absolutely hated cameras, and I had to sneak up on him to take it. This is his best "Don't you DARE point that thing at me" face. The other one is of a very cold Mickey bird that was perched on a wooden post outside my bedroom window. It was windy and cold, and he didn't look terribly happy.

Enjoy
