I suggest you try to eliminate those people so you can make a good contribution to human evolution.

The fact that theists ALWAYS, not sometimes, ALWAYS jump to murder to try and describe survival of the fittest also disturbs me.

It's like all you think about is killing. Which means I don't want to invite you to Chipotle with me.

OP: What do you understand "evolution" to be ? I find that many believers confuse concepts of abiogenesis, common descent, natural selection ... and throw them all into a big melting pot to form their own definitions and say, "That's evolution. There was a Big Bang from nothing and then soup and then monkeys and now us."

The fact that theists ALWAYS, not sometimes, ALWAYS jump to murder to try and describe survival of the fittest also disturbs me.

Come on dude. ALWAYS ? I haven't read every single post of yours, but this is the first I remember such a hasty generalization sticking out.

Okay I will dial it back. But seriously in my experience discussing the subject I haven't gotten one counter argument that didn't involve murdering someone in order to survive and claiming it to be "survival of the fittest." I know it doesn't describe every theist as there are some who understand and accept evolution. So yes, I do apologize.

But It's super childish and very frustrating to re-read this shoddy argument over and over and over and over. And Hitler is like Obligatory to bring up too. I'm so annoyed by this that yes, briefly I broke my normal neutral composure.

Ya has ta undastand. I gots ma limits.

I don't know what to say, there are good arguments against evolution, I can't remember well but I have seen them, because the scientific community has never had the same opinion on stuff.

The scientific community is not your best back up to say evolution is false. They have been saying it is definitely true for over 100 years.

Also what you said earlier about saying you believe God created life, that is not necessarily contradictory with the theory of evolution, as evolution deals with the idea of how species change over time.

Every piece? Really?!!? That's quite a statement. I'd like you to back that up. How can I trust what scientists say: The axioms, the primacy of existence and the objective method of knowledge. That's how.

I have looked at the evidence, although I'm not an expert, and I think the question isn't even debatable. Do I accept every word from the mouth of scientists? No, I accept them tentatively, based on the track record of science as a whole for discovering the way the universe works. But when it comes to evolution, the evidence is simply massive and overlapping and overwhelming.

The nature of science is a continual increase in knowledge, with occasional corrections, which almost always represent an increase in understanding.

Quick comment.

When you truly are motivated to learn about something scientific, why wouldn't you simply go to science sources and investigate at your leisure? IMO, the best way to learn is on your own time, without some people telling you one thing and another group telling you another thing.

If you truly want to learn about the science behind evolution, seek out the multitude of sources available online and read. When you have questions about the material or don't understand something, then it would be a good idea to ask people on these boards, who have knowledge on the subject.

In terms of evolution, what is wrong with it? Don't talk about love. It does not exist in evolution.

Evolution doesn't legislate morality. That's not part of the theory -- if it was, evolution wouldn't be part of science. Observing that life evolves, often through ugly mechanisms like death and disease, doesn't say anything about what's right and what's wrong, anymore than germ theory says tuberculosis is a good thing.

Agree. So you can not say evolution is certainly true, or worse, a fact. We only have that idea a few hundred years. And most of the so-called evidences only emerged in recent few decades.

You may only say it is a model waiting to be proven. Evidences are just evidences. They do not prove anything. Like I said, if you looking into any one of them in detail, it always has BIG problems.

I never talk anything about moral in this issue.

If I hate an individual of the same species so much, I will simply try to terminate that individual. That IS a natural behavior in the process of evolution.

You base this opinion on what exactly?

Survival of the fittest is not justification for killing. Fitness in evolution refers to ability to survive and reproduce. You don't need to actively try to kill the "weakest", those that cannot handle the rigors of life just end up dying.

Sure not. But if you hindered my welfare (physical and spiritual), I will certainly go against you. If you are serious, then terminate you is not a bad choice. This is true to individual survivorship, and is also true to group survivorship.

That is what you get from evolution. Happy?

Sorry, wrong.

We evolved to be social creatures and this means, getting along with others.

You see, any normal person has evolved to understand; if I go around killing people, good chance I am going to tick some people off and someone could come and kill me.

See how that works?
