  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I almost ran into another car on the freeway. The car in front of me changes lanes, and there it was - a mini van stopped in right-lane of the freeway with his turn signal on. (I'm still trying to figure out what the heck he was trying to do.) Anyway, I slammed on the brakes, but the road was slick because it was raining for the first time in over a week. I turned the wheel and barely missed the another car. Funny thing is...I don't have anti-lock brakes, so it doesn't make sense that the wheels didn't lock up. I'm also not sure how I could have possibily missed the car, considering the angle and speed involved. (You'd have to be there to see it.) So yes, I definitely believe God intervened in this situation. Actually, I believe God is in total control over ALL situations...there is truly nothing outside His mighty jurisdiction!

God bless
