Hey, I was wondering if you could all help me answer some questions about baptism. I was baptized as a Seventh-day Adventist back in 2004, but I can't remember some of the details.
I can't remember if it was triple immersion, and I can't remember the exact words used. I believe it was, "I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." Is this right?
Thanks.
HisAgain--I'm a bit confused here. Are you truly SDA or Catholic?
Your avatar has a rosary in it's hand and all your signatures are pro-catholic.
13, and unfortunately I don't seem to remember a lot of it. I didn't think it was triple immersion, thank you for the help.FYI--in the Adventist church, the baptismal candidate is submerged into the water ONCE and just before that the pastor recites..."IN the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, I baptize you'! Does this jar your memory? How old were you when you were baptized?
Sorry, I should have clarified. I was baptized as a Seventh-day Adventist, but I am no longer a member. I have started the conversion process in the Catholic Church and I needed more information on my baptism to see if it is accepted there.

Umm, wouldn't you ask the Catholics instead? I mean they are the ones that have to accept your baptism.
BTW, Adventist dip once. If you were dipped more than that then I couldn't tell where you were baptized.
No doubt. Have you expressed to your Catholic priest that you were baptized by immersion and if so what was the reaction? Why would it matter if you were immersed once or thrice anyway? Why would anyone care?Adventists know more about Adventist baptism than Catholics do.
Come on Guys! I mean, you answered the question but only after several back handed insults.
Ok, so most SDAs don't respect or even like the RCC, but they do have criteria to join. Jared is only asking about his SDA baptism, because apparently his SDA baptism might be acceptable for joining the RCC if it meets certain criteria. he was young and doesnt' remember and is asking about the procedure, right Jared?
We can have loyalty to the church and it's doctrines and still be Christ-like, right?
#4 .......Judging your actions by same standards finds you guilty of the same tactics you scream against.Sorry, I'm not going to play PC and encourage or support ones entrance into the beast of Revelation.
Interesting scripture you have in your avatar Jared....
