***huggies*** I know it can be frustrating. Putting a lid on the trash can is a good way to start. If you have a lid find a heavy book to put on it to keep the little...er...darlings from knocking it off. As for fighting over food, I have four cats each with their own food dish and they STILL fight over who gets to eat out of what dish!! It's not like the food is different either! I would try two different food dishes placed in different places. That way they can be in their own space to eat. Have you ever thought of getting them a "kitty tree". Kinda like a scratching post with different levels so they can claw, climb, dangle and do what ever it is kittens do. Another good thing, give them toys with lots of interaction. Our cat, Spaz, used to claw my ankles every chance he had. I ended up having to brib him with toys. Nothing expensive either. He loved Dollar Store jingly bells and fishies on a string. **more huggies** Remember, they will grow out of it.... umm... eventually that is!

Peace

thanks, and what about ronaldo, one of the kittens, meowing so much I'm going crazy! Thanks!

Try giving Ronaldo some extra attention. Make special "mommy and me" time for him. Or it could just be that he is really talkitive! I have a half Siamese that would talk to the walls if they would listen!! And my tabby, Luckey chatters about EVERYTHING! From the birdies in the sunflowers to not being able to find her toy. What kind of cats are they? Some breeds do tend to "talk" more than others. Good luck with your babies.

One thing you might consider trying is a squirt bottle and some bitter apple spray. You can buy bitter apple from Pet Smart (and probably any pet store near you). You should only use it when you want to teach your pet to cease behaving in a way that you feel is inappropriate. They hate the taste and the smell of it. It won't hurt them. It's encouraged for use in training, and vets suggest it for problematic pets. Here's a link to the Bitter Apple. I also use a squirt bottle with water in it, to spirtz my cat with when she's being a nawty girl. Just be careful not to use it unless you need to, so they won't get confused.

Also, reward your cats when they are behaving appropriately. Give them treats, especially fishy flavored treats. They love those.

When I was a kid we had a cat that loved Bitter Apple! No matter what we would spray it on she would go over and chew on said item. But then again she was just a bit off.

kittens are like massive hyper-ness.Good luck! remember, they don't stay this way forever or we'd never get one you can also get a very big dog to babysit them.i guarantee they would stay in their area.

I have two very bad kittens. They won't stop getting into the trash, fighting over food, clawing me every second. How do I calm these little cuties down?
