Aren't they amazing little things?! My parent's just had a baby girl, and the age gap between us is obviously huge. I'm old enough to be mistaken for the father, often! This means I look after her quite a wee bit, feed her (bottled milk... for obvious reasons! ), take her for walks in the pram, carry her around the shops, you know... baby stuff!

Isn't it incredible how God can create something so wonderful just from two little cells coming together?

Her name is 'Abbie Hope Smith' and she was born Feb 4th. She's an incredibly beautiful little baby, blonde hair, HUGE blue eyes and a great smile that hardly ever leaves her face. I thank God for her everyday. Everything she does is wonderful, lol, from sneezing in my face after throwing up, to vomitting all over my suit jacket before I go out to a party and then not telling me (She might be inteligent, but she's not that advanced ).

Looking after Abbie has really made me think about my future, when do I want kids? I used to think I was ready, thought I'd be a great father. But now I realise... I'm not ready, and it'll be a while before I can be the father I know god wants me to be. Having children is such a responsibility, they are so vunerable, small and fragile.

Thanks for listening to my doteing little story Have you any observations or stories to tell?

God Bless
A Loving Brother

Congratulations proud big brother. I know you are very thrilled and right to be so, but I don't think you are too wise putting your sister's full name on a forum like this. It might be wise to delete it, there are some real weirdos out there and your parents might be a little unhappy that you have done so, just a thought!

I've asked my parents about the name, they're quite comfortable about it being here. Thanks for the concern though, genuinely

Snowhite: Aren't they just incredible? Especially their eyes... there is just a purity that very few people have, I would have said 'nobody'... but after looking at your avatar I'm tempted to disagree I look forward to the challenges and rewards of fatherhood, only just not until God's time is right.

Yea, there's something pure and untouched about a new-born baby. But we have to rememeber that when we decide to follow Christ then that is exactly what we become like. It's an incredible gift.

Yea, I'm getting told she looks like me all the time They do remind us that there is good in the world, I'd totally agree.

Hey! my middle name is HOPE too I love babies, they are sooo precious. I love playing with them, and especially holding them...and aren't they soooo sweet right after they wake up from a nap? (well most of the time...when they're toddlers that's not always the case, lol) I don't have a baby brother/sister, but I have some baby cousins that I adore. It's gotta be cool to be the big brother, enjoy yourself!
