Attack of the zucchini..help

So I planted my mum a victory garden(look it up) and right smack dab in the middle are 4 lovely yet hostile zucchini plants. Today while watering I discovered that what seems like over night the zucchini has taken over! Can I cut the stems and leaves off of the plants?

I'm so very excited we have about 7 mini zucchini...but man are they ever ground hogs. =]

You can cut stems and leaves off as long as you don't cut the growing tip and all of the leaves it shouldn't hurt it.

It sounds like one plant would have been enough. You can cut the limbs, and keep the plant trimmed up a little, but you may want to pull out a couple of those plants. A lot of vegetables take over large spaces, for example watermelons, tomatoes, pumpkin plants, etc.
