  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Apparently. I left for a little while to upgrade my computer (and because I got tired of arguing creationists) and it appears I can no longer post there while logging in.

Oh well. At least I gave it my best shot!

I thought what was more amusing was that certain creationists backed him up as if all the other pages of evidence had never been posted.

Aye. It's their System. They found a Way to Flame the "Undesirable" off the Board without violating any Rule of Common Desency. All the have to do is Neg Rep you to -15 and you become instantly banned (Or rather, your Account is locked.) That's what happened to me too.

I wonder if enough people Pos Rep you to above 15 then maybe you can regain your Privaledges.

I guess I'm banned too. Trying to access the forums kicks me back to the main page in IE. But I can view them fine with Firefox (where I am not logged in) and noticed my profile now reads, "My Hattiesburg Troll". Nice.

Oh well, I guess silencing the opposition is better than trying to confront the issues. After all, not one single person there was able to address the usefulness of modern evolutionary biology.

No kidding. What people don't seem to get over there, is that nothing he posts actually disproves evolution. He's simply pointing to, like anything in science, areas of speculation or incomplete data. So because we don't have perfect knowledge of evolution, therefore it's false? What a dumb argument.

I had a response planned to discuss actual evidence in favor of macroevolutionary descent, but I guess I won't have a chance to post it now.

Here's an idea.

Make a New Account and pretend to argue for the opposing side and make all the Arguements that the rest of these guys refuse to do. Then, maybe no one can say that it's an unfair fight while, at the same time, disect their whole position bit-by-bit.

They probably won't read it but, Hey! At least they can't use the Excuse "If no one told us, we can't be held responcible for being wrong!"

Wish I can do that. I wish I can put up a convincing debate.
