  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Kimber- there is an awesome magazine called Magnificat-
if you can afford it ($40.00/year)- it is a great thing to have around- it has all of the readings for Mass for the whole month (as well as the Opening Prayer, etc.), and a medidtation for each day, and talks about any of the "extras" such as laying out the way Mass on Ash Wednesday will be said. The Ashes are distributed after the homily- before the Liturgy of the Eucharist- they'll make a cross on your forehead with the ashes and say "Remember, man, you are dust and to dust you will return". There is no profession of faith...

Anyway this magazine is relly great to prepare for Mass, or to make a Spiritual Communion when you are unable to go to Mass during the week, and to prepare for any special things in the Liturgy- such as for Good Friday, or Easter, or Holy
Thursday, etc...

Shannon is correct. I would highly recommend Magnificat. Not only is it a great source of information, but it is beautifully presented as well.

In case anyone is interested, you can request a free sample copy on their website.
