No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This movie looks like a butchering of Morte de Arthur. Just by looking at the trailers, they seem to have gotten right that Celts were involved. But Guinevere as a warrior queen? I sense femnazis behind that. Arthur is dressed as a roman. Crazy.

But what makes me mad is that it states, 'these are the TRUE legends of king arthur'. Mmmm, I'm sure some drugged up hollywood writer would be an authority on that. I always thought the true legend was that Merlin was young, Arthur was old, and they fought saxons with thier Celtic warriors who got their carpenter to make them a round table.

I did this in two minutes, pardon spelling and stupid statements. What do you think of this sloppy movie?

Looks brilliant. Read "A Dream Of Eagles" series and see sorta what it looks like they are aiming for. I read the series, combining the legend of Arthur and the fall of the Roman Legions, and loved how the author, Jack Whyte, shows how they may have linked together.

And yes, Arthur in Roman armour... 400 AD was around the time that the Romans were withdrawing from Britain, so it'd make sense that a leader would have the best armour available to him - Roman armour.

I think they were going for the more realistic, historical approach (although the trailer made me laugh "the real story behind the legend"-heh), and face it, the medieval version has been done to death. If you ask me there just aren't enough celts in films. But this is Jerry Bruckheimer we're talking about so I imagine it will be all big fights blah blah blah. I might go and see it, but then again Keira Knightly really annoys me, so who knows?

I just caught part of an interview with this geek who said he'd researched the history for @ 30 yrs before writing the movie

Bet ya thought he was @ 19-going-on-55??

(Bet ya also thought movies were shot with cameras, huh??)

Oh yeah..just to help the last guy..& anyone else puzzled so far..the film is called KING Arthur

Mind you..with titles being abolished now..I hear the new National Anthem is, "God Save The Windsor Tribe"

It sure scans the rhythm

But lacks a certain "Je ne sais quoi", n'est-ce pas?

I just watched the movie and i thought it was ok. The battle scenes were great, the characters were well-developed, but it was still disappointing b/c of how different the story was portrayed. I just can't get used to Guinevere as a warrior and Merlin as a leader of a rebel warriors. I wouldn't watch it again or buy it. (First Knight was much better!
