Been playing the demos for this recently, and it's actually quite fun.
It's pretty innovative, in that because of the way its designed, it avoids some of the common flaws of other RTS games, e.g. no rushes since everyone can always build at the same speed (or at least, their effectiveness is diminished, as you have to capture the flag/bomb/capture domination points several times to win), everyone is in the fight till the end as no player is ever eliminated and can always make a comeback. It also prevents turtling by placing Power Plants in a separate area from the base, which when destroyed, will destroy all the units defending at the base.
It does rely rather heavily on a paper/rock/scissors formula though, which some people may dislike. Units have two type of armor, light and heavy, and their attacks are also in the two ratings. However, for a unit to be destroyed, you have to reduce both armor levels to 0. So a unit with a low light/high heavy attack will need a lot of shots to kill a unit with high light/low heavy, since the heavy armor will be drained immediately, but the light armor could still take many shots.
There's also no base-building. The only equivalent to base-building is sending a unit into an upgrade building, after which, all your units of that type become more powerful, unless the enemy destroys the upgrade building. And the only resources in the games are items which you can use on your units or enemy units to gain short term advantages.
Not related is the webcam and voice chat feature, so that you can see the reactions of the people you're playing with. Of course, I'd rather not have their faces blocking the map...
