It hit me like a ton of bricks as I was listening to our miniser giving the Sunday sermon. His sermon had do to with keeping things of our past lives in our heart; as he put it;"Are there still things of Egipt in your heart? Do you have a longing to go back or do you want to follow God?"

My mind was on something else. The whole time Israel was in the dessert and on their way there God did great miracles,signs and wonders. This must have been great to witness. Today you see loads of people running to places to see miracles. They want to see how the Lord works. They see people geting healed from all different kinds of illnesses and diseases.

The funny thing is that I am also like that. Every time the devil temps me with doubt, I ask God for a sign so I can know for sure that He lives. Just like the Israelites in the dessert, just like the people that got healed at the crusades(Please beware as some of these crusades are defenately not from God), who forgets about God after a while, I have forgotten what what He has already done for me.

You see the biggest miracle that can ever take place is for a soul to get saved. Nothing can beat that. The bible says that all of heaven rejoices with us when it happens. Praise God, for I have been part of the biggest miracle there can be in this world when He saved me.

"Out of death into life", via the new birth, is indeed the greatest miracle

"Breaking down the walls of partition" & making all types of folk "all 1 in Christ" sure ranks alongside it!

What faith-builders to persist in prayer for the healing miracles that bring much thanks, praise, glory & honour to Christ!

I read most of Mark on the bus home on Tuesday

The phrases that leapt out were how Jesus healed all kinds of diseases, & how all were so amazed that word spread rapidly..


How soon He could no longer go to inhabited areas for the multitudes..

& how they brought all the sick out to the mountains where He was..

& again healed them all

I think of how He said, "If you don't believe My words, believe for the miracles' sake!"

How Acts declares Jesus to be attested by God thru the miracles, signs & wonders

How epistles say it too

How much more we need His precios promise to work together with us, confirming faithful preaching of His Word with signs & wonders following!

How even little kids, in Asia, Africa, Latin America, have been used by God, in Jesus' name & by the Spirit's mighty power, to open blind eyes, unstop deaf ears, strengthen feeble limbs..

& even raise the dead!

Many times!

How the decadent west needs that "Latter Rain" outpouring of God's Spirit, as in Joel 2 & Acts 2!

Israel has 2 great rainy seasons

The spring rain corresponds to Pentecost, @ the springing up of the Church

The Latter Rain, to prepare the final harvest, is even greater than spring

Kids didn't do those things in Acts!

I live on a mission where all these miracles have taken place. I know that God can do these things and even greater things than we ever can imagine or dream of. I also know that the devil is the biggest copy cat there is. Remember how Pharo magicians could also turn their sticks into serpants.

I was merely trying to warn people of these as the bible also says that on judgement day people will come and say that they casted out demons in the Name of the Lord. His answer was that they should depart from Him because He does not know Him. Even worse, He also said that their hands and feet should be tied and they should be thrown into hell.

There are fake Christians out there and I was warning people of them.
May we all pray for discernment.

I did my Mission Studies @ Moorlands, so it is thrilling to read of someone @ half my age being so used of God in Africa after being 3 years saved, & I'll sure pray for your strategic work among the Zulus of S Africa!

Nearly forgot to back you up by anticipating questions on how to tell the real from the false

I know we both believe strongly in the Berean principle of searching the Scriptures & using God's Word as the plumbline!

"The coming of the Lawless One (Beast/Antichrist) will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs & wonders, & in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing

"They perish because they refuse to love the truth & so be saved" - (2 Thessalonians 2:9/10)

Hence the powerful delusion of verse 11 & the just condemnation of v. 12

Last night Iwas talking to one of my friends here on the mission andhe reminded me of what Paul said. He said something in the line of; "Of love I can teach you nothing; of deception I can teach you nothing. That is the work of the Holy Spirit."

I have warned them and now pray that the Holy Spirit will do the rest.
May God give us wisdom and discernment.
