I have been chasing this issue for years and just happened across something I would like to share with my brothers in Christ. If you are interested in purchasing a nights scope just let me know and how I can get the instructions to you. I am not going to use Christian Forums in the context of selling something. Besides, I don't make anything from it. I just want to share with those who might want to hunt at night without needing lights and this deal I had to work at but now it is available to anyone.

Hog hunting is better at night. Those pigs tear up farmers fields and destroy property. Sometimes they are hard to hunt during the day so hunting at night is the only way to thin them down.

What advantages and or benefits do you find to hunting at night? I've hunted in the day with my brothers before but never at night. It sounds interesting!
You can't hunt controlled animals like deer or elk or squirrels after dark but non-game and some exotics on private property is o.k. Like rabbit hunting, they are less likely to spook allowing you to get closer. Hogs and coyotes the same thing. With a night scope you can see them and they can't see you so you can take more time to insure the shot is broadside and right where you want it.

No hogs or other nuisance animals up here... Yet.

I did blast an apple tree full of coons once in Iowa back in `93. Shined a big ol' Maglite into the tree, lit up their eyes, and let loose with a 20 gauge shotgun.

Not a single casualty... Not one of my more prouder moments as a sportsman...

A brother at church was telling me today that he and a friend were hunting and came around a corner and there were about 20 hogs in the trail. Being armed with a pistol and 20 gauge with buckshot they looked at each other, took the guns off safety, and ran through them with one shooting the 20 gauge as fast as he could to those spreading right and the the other with the pistol shooting to the left. Said he had never heard such squealing in his life before or since. They got to the other side, turned around, and..., not a pig in sight. They didn't hit a one. Then they realized how blessed they were that they didn't get ripped to shreds with all those cutters flailing about. I told him I wouldn't be telling that story to anyone. Then I said, but I went 5 years hunting each winter all over SE Texas and never even saw one I could shoot. I followed a lot of poop, and got close enough to smell them, but never put my eyes on one. But now that I have a night scope it is going to be different, by gollies!

Update, it has been almost a month since I got my night scope. I still haven't been hunting with it. Sighted it in, learned how to use it, took video of deer in the field, but still haven't been hunting. I only get between Friday after work until Sat at about midnight to 2am. Since my Dad had a stroke and trying to balance my time with him and mom, and my wife and my own interests (sleeping) there just hasn't been much time to hunt.
