• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are the voting machines secure?

My state offers early voting as well. So, based upon all this evidence, it seems that the 2024 election will be fair in Georgia.

Well, there are mid-terms as well (which happen every two years), so, if we count mid-terms, then every two election cycles (4 years). If we count presidential elections, then every 8 years.

I'd say 4 years between purges would be a safer bet compared to waiting 8 years between purges.

I have been following the shenanigans that occurred at the 2020 election. Little has been fixed. It is highly doubtful that Trump can win in 2024 due to all this rigging.

Watch the short video on X.

RealRobert on X: "And here it is, Dominion ADJUDICATING the overthrow of the U.S. government across every battleground state in the Nov 3, 2020 election,

“I observed with my Democratic partner.”

“I read her a Trump Republican ballot, as soon as she entered it into the system the ballot DEFAULTED on the screen to a Biden Democratic ballot.”

If your sources are correct, then why are hackers at that conference in 2024 still able to hack into the vulnerabilities of those voting machines?

I am not sure. The AP article that I have used is from 2 years ago, and hackers always seem to hack technology as soon as it comes out. In other words, this is an arms race between voting booth manufacturers and hackers. A paper trail of our votes should always be used, in case a manual recount is required such as after a hack has been made.

Heck, Tesla regularly updates the car software, and Tesla owners have gotten their cars hacked (lesson = don't buy a car that connects to the internet):

My state votes entirely by write-in ballots, so no, I'm not worried.

If we did use the machines, I wouldn't be worried about tampering, I'd be worried about their reliability under heavy use. If some machines break down, the waiting lines could get bad.

Here in GA we have three weeks of early voting plus Saturday voting at least either one or two of those weeks counties can choose to have voting all three Saturdays and even on Sundays, so if you want to aviod the lines you can go early and the lines tend to be shorter or not there at all and if you do have a line you do not want to wait in come back later.

I certainly am concerned about these machines, they are connected to the internet and it was proven in court that it is possible to remotely change the votes. I see no point for them, the old and tried paper system is more reliable.

Voting machines are not connected to the Internet.

We shell see who wins a (hopefully fair election I will say that I woud not be shocked if there were violence that happened either way. Of course I would hope not, but I would not be shocked.

What would shock you at this point?

If whomever wins is competent?

Why do you think the voting machines are connected to the internet?
I see no point for them, the old and tried paper system is more reliable.
Most voting machines use paper ballots which get scanned in by the voter (if they are voting in person) who can then check to see if their choices are recorded properly. The voting machines keep count and the paper ballots provide the audit trail.

Machines can count faster and better than human beings can - and for longer.

If my candidate doesn’t win, the system was fixed?
Don't both complain.
Paranoia is more enjoyable on drugs, (or so I have been told).
Whoever told you that is wrong. That is the worst feeling, peeking out the window looking for cops in a dark house, hiding in my closet because I thought I heard noises outside.

Hi Daisy, it is well known and documented that they are connected to the internet, they transmit the results that way.

Yes they are. The votes are tabulated and then they are transmitted via the internet.

That sounds scary, cos what if Russia or some other bad actor intercepts the internet transmission and changes the results? It would be nice if the votes were tabulated, and then the results were printed and delivered by a courier, or transmitted via good old fashioned radio waves (though, someone might try to jam the radio frequency, or broadcast fake results).

These machines should not exist and are not needed, the poling stations are fully manned and secure.
Paper votes are best and they leave a permanent trace.

The second they put these machine in Canada is the day I stop voting.

Blessings Alex

If you stop voting do not complain about whomever gets in office. Way I look at it if you chose not to vote fine, however if you choose not to vote stay quiet for the next 2-6 years ( depending on the office) about who gets in office.
