Mat 22:14For manyarecalled, but few are chosen."
Is it possible that it is just an accident that some are in church? That maybe they are not meant to be saved and that is why they have the struggles that they have in their life?
The Parable of the Pharisee and the Publican:
To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other menrobbers, evildoers, adulterersor even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
~Luke 18:9-14
This is awesome. Thank you!
I think it's natural for people to wonder if they are saved. I've had those thoughts at times. However, I know that those thoughts are because of Satan. Of course he's going to make you question your salvation. That's how he gets you.
You just have to tune him out and learn to listen to God instead.
Right. Satan is going to try his hardest to take you out of God's hands because he can't stand it when there's one for the other team, so to speak. Just like when Satan challenged God that he could make Job doubt and curse God's name. God of course knew Job's heart and knew that he would never curse the Lord.My pastor always says that he never tried to convince you that you weren't saved when you weren't now did he?
