These are some scriptures that reflect apostles' responsibilities -


for today:


1. Taking the gospel to unreached areas such as Rom. 15:20, NIV).

2. Plant churches such as 1Co 3::10

3. Help with problems such as Gal 1:7,

4. Appointing and training the initial leaders of a church. (Acts 14:21-23 -Titus 1:5).

5. Promoting unity in the body of Christ (see Eph. 4:1-16).

6. Signs and wonders such as Mark 16:17-20; 2 Cor. 12:12 - "Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds."

I had posted these on another forum and was advised that Barnabas didn't plant any churches; therefore, that shouldn't be added to the list. To me, he traveled with other apostles such as Acts 13:2, 7 and 14:4; so he planted churches.
