I'm surprised she decided to do anything that would cause the capital police to take action against her at all. It was just recently that she said she was not feeling safe around the capitol police because she thought some of them let people into the building on January 6th and were protest sympathizers. If I were her, I would not want to pull this latest stunt, if she really was afraid of them.

Don't they have anything better to do? Boebert and MTG are going locked and loaded picking fights with the metal detector attendants. It's easy to find the rogue congressmen. Look for the bulges in their hip pockets.
John Lewis used to talk about "good trouble." I'd say AOC was involved in good trouble.

Abortion is murder...not "good" trouble, and progressive Christianity is going to separate a lot of people from God for eternity.

Killing the unborn is akin to murder and an intrinsic moral evil.

Don't confuse an "direct abortion," with an "indirect abortion," which is done for
medical reasons. The former is performed to directly kill the fetus. That is murder
regardless how you try to spin it.

That verse wasn't placed in the Bible as a defense for sin. Stating sin will separate many people from God for eternity is supported by God's word and if there's one thing progressive "Christianity" seems to love to do, it's justify sin; homosexuality and abortion being the most prominent. Don't take it as passing judgement on you or anyone else, as I am a sinner (albeit forgiven) and have no room to do so. Do take it as a warning that you are pushing something that will have a negative eternal consequence for yourself and many others. Back to the topic of the thread, it just irks me to the core to see one of the most vile evils ever invented by man being called "good" trouble. That and the obvious attempt at a photo op is one of the most cringy things I've seen AOC or Ilhan Omar do yet.

What would God consider worse--AOC at a pro-choice event or MTG and Boebert going to the halls of Congress armed and arguing and fighting with the public officials at the metal detectors?

Personally, I would feel a lot more threatened by armed women arguing and fighting than I would by a woman holding a sign advocating that women be allowed to make their own decisions.

AOC is an engaged woman representing a very diverse population in NYC and trying to represent them without imposing her morality or the Supreme Court's morality or the Southern Baptist Convention's morality on them. It's a big stretch to connect her to a single abortion.

On the other hand if you're carrying a gun and throwing temper tantrums and being aggressive, you are much, much closer to going off the deep end and ending someone's life.

If both are doing things that are lawful, and voicing their opinions.. then.... what's the big deal

Was AOC removed by the police? If so, she must have been doing something that warranted it.

Was MTG or Boebert arrested or removed, then they must have been doing something that was warranted.

In the end.. I believe the answer to your question is that God loathes any action that supports the killing of one of His creations. Especially the innocent and defenseless unborn.

MTG and Boebert are not doing anything sinful in protesting the metal detectors, IMO.

Promoting the killing of the unborn... yep, you guessed it, sinful.

( Armed arguing and fighting... seriously? From what I heard if they have a license and credentials to carry... Pelosi doesn't have the right to disarm them. )

I think I'll go into that house, when everyone is a sleep.. and take it".... has to realize that nobody knows who you are, what you have as a weapon, what your intentions are, what damage you are going to do, what injuries you may do to the loved ones, or.... whether you are going to kill , rape, kidnap... ore who knows what..

So, they don't take the time to ask questions...and end up dead.

Just think if you were to wake up in the middle of the night and hear someone in your house. What questions would go through your mind? Half asleep. Do they have a gun? What do they want? Am I going to live? What about my kids? What about my wife?

I'll tell ya... It's the last thing that you want to go through.

She felt a calling for God to lead her after participating in the Standing Rock protests. There were many religious leaders there. She considers herself a Catholic.
She was approached to run for Congress the following year, and, like most Catholic Democrats, she was attracted to the "orphan causes" conservative Catholic legislators ignore--or actively oppose.
It's important to have people of faith who care about something besides abortion-- the orphan causes i would call "everything else."
This is her faith journey, whether you agree or disagree, but I am glad there are people of faith--or many different faiths--who worry about the problems that keep me up at night.

That's just it. She, and Omar, were not arrested. They faked being handcuffed and walked along with their hands behind their backs.. all Drama..

They were escorted, by the police, away from the protest. That's it. Drama and the legacy media ate it up.

If you read the article, you would have found out how her belief in protecting our environment for future generations (as Pope Francis discusses in "Laudato Si") became strengthened through her standing in solidarity with Native Americans at Standing Rock.--a perfect storm in which both Native American rights and the environment were attacked by the right (including, I would guess, at least 90% of Catholic legislators who self-identify as pro-life). She also discussed her many other 'gospel' values.
People who vote for AOC or Democrats don't do it because they are "anti-life." They are "pro-social justice and pro-environment and pro-creating a better world." That might sound Pollyanna-ish and idealistic, but that's what I believe.
