The theory was never linear, though it was sometimes portrayed that way. Sometimes complex ideas are hard to get across.By the way, has that old theory been moved out of schools? The original linear style theory resembled a prophecy in the bible, which might be why it is viewed as evil.
The Bible is the claim. It is not the evidence. It is understandable for people of that era not to understand evolution. The 6 day creation is not only supported in Genesis but also Exodus 20:11
“For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.”
Exodus 20:11 NASB1995
This is why the sabbath isn’t every couple million years or so.
Sorry, spellchecker changed "your" to "yourself".Your first sentence is a bit confusing.
Incorrect. Only in rather small details. Like it or not the evidence of your common ancestors with other apes is crystal clear.Yes the evidence is inconclusive.
Systems of belief are like that - complex ideas are simplified and some details are missed. The theory was never linear, though it was sometimes portrayed that way. Sometimes complex ideas are hard to get across.
The verses apply universally. We were all at one point enemies of God, as is pointed out in Ephesians 2 and elsewhere.Since the verses you use do not apply to yourself opponents it is still abuse. It would be better suited to the apologetics section. No one is trying to disprove God with evolution. It only demonstrates a particular interpretation of the Bible to be wrong, just as all of the evidence that shows the Earth to be a globe refutes the interpretation of the Bible that.leads some Christians to claim that the Earth is flat.
The difference between a Flat Earther and a creationist is only a matter of degree.
When God gave the Ten Commandments, He understood what He did.The Bible is the claim. It is not the evidence. It is understandable for people of that era not to understand evolution.
Yes, I can see how that helped. One concept to remember is that populations evolve, not individuals. Evolution is similar to how new languages arose. At one time the populations of Spain and France spoke Latin. After the Roman Empire fell they were cut off from each other and Rome. Their languages changed until they could not understand each other. Speciation is a lit like that.Systems of belief are like that - complex ideas are simplified and some details are missed.
However, the search for a single transitional ancestor (1 dimensional diagram) is no longer a goal of biologists is what I got from the article since the change occurred from many places (more than 1 dimensional drawing).
Correct. We share a common ancestor with chimps, orangutans and gorillas. No one has claimed anything else. And as an aside, man is still an anthropoid ape.

The Exodus and related stories are not accepted by people that have studied archaeology. Taking the stories of the Bible literally appears to be a theological error. When God gave the Ten Commandments, He understood what He did.

We have fairly continuous fossils from Lucy on. We have DNA evidence that only supports evolution. And the tere is ERV evidence that blows away the "same designer same traits" claim. There is no scientific evidence for your beliefs. This doesn’t necessarily mean we evolved from them it can also mean we simply have a common DNA sequence. The human body also has similarities to many other animals as well. Our eyes more closely resemble a sheep, our blood is closer to a pig’s, cats share 90% of our genes, and cows and mice are also among those whom we share similar genes.
Not being accepted does not mean that the account isn’t true. Moses was obviously an eyewitness to the Exodus events. The Exodus and related stories are not accepted by people that have studied archaeology. Taking the stories of the Bible literally appears to be a theological error.

Because they are demonstrably wrong.I don’t understand why the creationalist beliefs are so hard to believe?
Well I surely hope that the scientists can figure out how to resurrect a body after it’s been dead for three days for your sake my friend. I’d hate to think that you can’t believe in Christ’s resurrection because scientists say it’s impossible.
Why? Let's not get into other beliefs here. This is not the place to debate other parts of the Bible.Well I surely hope that the scientists can figure out how to resurrect a body after it’s been dead for three days for your sake my friend.
