An update of where we are at in restoring CF to its former features...

PLEASE CHECK THIS FIRST POST FOR UPDATES...

A most people may know, CF suffered a database crash a week ago, where we lost 2 months worth of data, and most of our special features.

I am slowly restoring these features back to CF. It takes time, but slowly and steadily, I am bringing back the features:

Features that are back:

Our forum layout, colors, and style
WYSIWYG interface - much improved
Username Colors
Age, Gender, Country Flag
Voice/ Sound File
Photo in Profile
Donation/ Site Supporter System
Photo Gallery
Journals
Daily Devotional Links
Mood
Guestbook/ User Comments
Blessings!
Chatbox (the real one!)
Latest Discussion on homepage
Collapsible/ Expandable Forum Categories

Username Colors

Good work Erwin, however I like my username the way it appeared before you implemented this, I accidentally clicked glow and now my name is all mesed up, it defaults to red backgound. I cannot restore it.

Can you add white to the glow option and a option to not have any glow or shadow?

Pleeeeeeaaaasssseeee.

nice i just updated it. i like it. does that mean that the games will NEVER come back?? i never got to play multiplayer chess.

You can choose not to have glow by choosing the "blank".

Blank defaults to red Erwin, look at my name!! LOL I don't like that, I want it back to the way it was, but that font is gone and I can't unchoose glow.

Glow is checked, but everything else is blank and this is what it looks like, thats why i asked about white being put in or an option to use NO effects.

If you can't thats cool, maybe you can reset my glow option? Or heck I don't know, I'll improvise if I have to.

I'm torn...

On the one hand, I want to be the last one to put any pressure on Erwin.

On the other hand, I'm afraid that if none of us say that we really hope games and quizzes return, that Erwin might think that nobody cares.

/me thinks that Erwin does a great job...whether games and quizzes return or not.

/me hopes that someday the games and quizzes might return.

I know I miss the games too, I spent a lot of time working for those high scores, but maybe it's better that he doesn't, I don't know.

well, i hate to lose the arcade and quizzes BUT at least a majority of the old style site will be coming back.

i agree with you Badfish, this site did have everything but food. but i think in time, it will be back around where it was at.

As said by others, I would value the games and quizes returning, but they are just nice extras. The site is great anyway so do not worry in the slightest if bringing them back is not fesable.
