Carl: Hey, Jerry, great to see you back at work.
Jerry: Thanks, it feels like I've been gone forever.
Carl: How long were you out?
Jerry: Only about three weeks but when you're sick it feels more like three years.
Woodrow Kroll: I know what Jerry means. Being sick for several weeks can feel like an eternity. I'm Woodrow Kroll and this is the Bible Minute.
Can you imagine being sick for 38 years? Jesus met a man like that. Every day for nearly four decades, he watched healthy people all around him. And every day his life seemed more hopeless. Then he met Jesus. The meeting is recorded in John chapter five. "Jesus said to him, 'Rise, take up your bed and walk.' And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked." That's the remarkable thing about Jesus; with Him, no situation is ever hopeless. Nothing is beyond His power or ability. Does that mean He will heal all of our diseases or solve all our problems? No, God's ways are not always our ways. But it does mean God is adequate to do whatever is necessary to accomplish His will in your life. Want to know more? Read the Gospel of John today and learn more about Jesus. Pick up your Bible and get started learning that with God, nothing is impossible.
