Mr Strawberry said:My answer would be that emotions are evolution derived impulses to steer your behaviour in ways that ensure your survival, social integration, reproductive success and the continuation of your genes. Emotions not to do with these drives tend to be less overpowering - actually I'm struggling to think of any that aren't to do with them, but I expect there are a few. Basically, when you feel emotions you are experiencing the results of evolution in a very direct way.
toolmanjantzi said:Yet, death would be lesser of emotions in a Evolutionary World, so why would death be the leading emotion in Christianity?
That last one is not correct. God does not determine who will receive eternal life. Eternal life is a free gift for those who sincerely ask and it is available to all people.
HitchSlap said:Personally, I have no idea of how nothing exploded and caused everything. Do you have an example of "nothing?"
TheBeardedDude said:You've haven't provided anything about how the bible proves your claims or that your claims are based on scripture.
As to the cause of the universe, I don't know. But making up an answer is worse than having no answer.
I also certainly don't believe that a people who lived in the bronze age, got it right.
HitchSlap said:I believe a lot of things.
Skaloop said:Is that yours?
Who said there was a Bronze Age? You haven't proven any of your points by how one would be able to claim the truth of that claim.
Skaloop said:Why would death be a lesser emotion?
TheBeardedDude said:Really? That's your best reply? That there may not have been a bronze age?
Would the bible not work as proof? Show me where the bible backs up those claims.
I do not think death is an emotion, the emotion is felt in the lead up to death, death is the end, there is no memory of the death, even the way the death occurred is gone. Why would death be a lesser emotion?
Religions will exist as long as people fear death.I never cease to be amazed that religion still exists.
If you understand how and why you are here you will understand why everything dies. Why would death be a lesser emotion in an evolutionary world?
I believe the Bible. I asked you to prove the existence of the Bronze Age.
Not dishonest just delusional, he thinks his question makes sense, we can only feel sorry for him.The intellectual dishonesty is staggering
