An alternative view to the mark on the forehead and hand

Today in Israel when the jews pray at the western wall , they wear an Item called a phylactery or tefilin . It is a little black leather box with hebrew letters on the front . One is strapped to the forehead and the other to the right hand . For a better understanding of this , search those two words . Remember , the bibles focus is the middle east . I hope this is helpfull , thankyou.

Interesting, Brian. I haven't ever heard of that particular view of the "mark" yet. How do you see it fit in with the "buying and selling" part of Rev. 13? Will the entire world be forced to wear phylacteries?

Why can't yall see that the "chip" is a prelude to the mark, it has all the attributes....And it is growing by leaps and bounds. There are countries that are lining up to get the technoligy to implement it.

Hi RKF; I'm not certain that the chip will be the future "mark of the beast", but I can see it getting abused. The intentions of having the chip are good, for medical reasons; but like most things, somebody will likely ruin it.

I guess we'll see how far our technology takes us in twenty years or so.

Will America still be "free" then I wonder?

20 years, I don't believe we have ten left. Just because the intentions are good, doesn't mean that it is good for us. It is bad......very, very bad.....Can you see anything elae that has come along that would be considered a prelude to the mark that has the same attributes, controling buying, selling etc.....?

The mark is a freightening thing, especially because of the consequences. When a mark(symbol, barcode, chip) is required to purchase or sell anything then I will start to panic. Otherwise I dont think its a big deal. Just be aware of what's going around you and you will be ok.

I have heard, but can't confirm, that a bent cross was used at one time (maybe still is?) by satanists as a "mark" to show their beliefs.

Do a search (I did www.google.com) on bent cross or broken cross. There are a lot of web sites on occult symbols. There are many occult symbols that disfigure the cross (70's peace sign, nazi symbol, etc.)

The strange thing is, I'm not wanting to start a debate on the pope, the inverted cross is widely acknowledged as a symbol of satan.

Those kind of things have been in use for a LONG time, back from when the pharisees wore the box on their forehead and stuff because God said "write the word on your forehead" or something like that. But the final symbol will be something of greater value to the world. A prayer box brings attention to God, however, I have the feeling that this "sign" won't.

Plus the box isn't required to buy or sell, and that is not the Jewish intent of things, so although the placement is correct I don't think it will happen. (If it does I will think you very wise though )

To me the whole data chip thing seems the most plausible explanation so far. Because of many reasons:
1-The important role of credit cards (and the chips therein)
2-Our American wave to small microchip things
3-The use of this already to track dogs
4-The New Jersey scientist who already implanted one on himself
5-And just human nature to do something stupid even though it has been cautioned for 1000's of years!

Good writing though I look forward to hearing more about what you discover.

Hellow Acts . When God says the whole world I don't believe he means the entire globe . Empires of the past were said to rule the world , yet they never ruled over the American Indian , the Australian aborigine , or the eskimo's , Gods focus was the mediteranian arena . It is said that the hebrew letters on the phylactery is the name of God , and in the book of revelation there are people being beheaded , these people have jesus fathers name written in there foreheads revelation : 14 . The phylactery also has spiritual overtones , what you think in your mind and what you do with your hand , good and evil are known by this . When the Antichrist rules from Jerusalem , I believe he will try to replace Gods name with his own , under penilty of starvation and death . I also know that Jerusalem is the harlot woman of revelation , but I will comment on that at another time . thanks

The harlot of Revelations is Rome or Vatican city...It fits better than Jerusalem...Look at what she is robed in and look at what the cardinals and bishops wear..Hmmmmm. Just a thought.

Hi Rkf . I would like to show you a city decked in gold and jewels and precious stones , revelation : 21 - 18 . This city is the real macoy , she is the real deal , this is the spiritual city we await . The one that we see now is the carnal city , her jewelry are fake and her royal robes of purple and scarlet are pretentious . The kings of the earth are drunk with wine and are lusting after her , and much blood is spilt in trying to obtain her . For thousands of years kings have lined up to be her lover . In the middle ages we had the crusades , and everybody , including two popes were trying to woo her affection . Today Yasser Arafat is in love with her , and will stop at nothing to gain her affection . She will become the spark that ignites the flames that will burn the world . Even christians are falling in love with her , and are willing to take up the sword in defense of her honor , making light of the first commandment ( thou shall not murder ) . Great post ? But what does it all mean? The city is decked in gold, and robed in Purple and scarlet Sounds like the catholic church to me. Don't the cardinals and bishops wear purple and scarlet, hasn't the catholic church made the world drunk with her false doctrines? Hasn't she shed more blood then any other? I haven't heard of any christians falling in love with Jerusalem?

Hellow again RKF . You are correct in what you say . A few years back , I read a book written by Dave Hunt called : A woman rides the beast , a fantastic piece of work proving the catholic church to be the woman . The problem is , I can see another woman , JERUSALEM , fitting the discription . I am not going to dismiss the catholic church one bit , but we are to be the watchers , and as watchers we should be looking in more than one direction . As we head toward the end , I will be watching both of these women very closly . You say you have not heard of christians falling in love with Jerusalem , surf the christian internet for polls asking things like : Should America defend Israels right to keep jerusalem and other such things . Hall lyndsey had a poll similar to this question and you would be surprised at the answers . If you don't believe me , then hold your own poll , the answers will blow you away . thanks .

I know what you saying. I believe there is a great desire for some to have the city of Jerusalem, and it will be a part of the covenant that the anti-christ makes between the two warring factors. The Israelis want it and the Arabs want it, the reason being is that they know the history of the city, and they know that it is a city in which God blessed. I thank God for the new Jerusalem, with it's streets of gold......I think the only reason that christians fall in love with it is because they see a connection between the old and new city...What do you think?

I agree with your connection of the old and the new Jerusalem. As for as the harlot, given the context, that at this time the tribulation is well underway. I suspect the harlot to represents the one world united church that will worship tolerance in the name of unity. I do not believe it is specific to any one church or religious system, but the unity of these entities as a whole. Of course I am a pre tribulation rapturist. This would mean to me, the harlot will be a united secular church made up of all those who are not saved, after the rapture takes place. I know we may not agree on all things, but it is clear that we agree on a last period of earth history that is about to unfold. I find that very exciting. Peace, but not yet.

I agree that it is a united church, and that is already under way, and it is lead by the catholic church, Yes they have agreed that all could join as long as they agreed that as long as they believe in a higher power then they could join. Frightening isn't it. That includes Muslims, mormons, anyone even jews.....

Hi RKF . Yes your right , christians do have an affinity with this city , and God has warned us not to take up the sword : revelation - 13:9 . I see you guys are talking about religions joining together , I have heard about this , It's called ecumenism , if this happens it will create a hybrid religion . But I have problems seeing the arabs joining this , they hate our guts , and in the book of revelation there are christians and jews being beheaded . The arabs love a good old fashioned head chopping , It's a great day out for the whole family , It's akin to our football . I suppose I will have to wait and see about this ecumenical movement . Not Arabs but Muslims, there is a difference. not all Arabs are muslim, not all muslims are arabs....ecumenism has already started, San Fran, in 95 and later in Chicago they signed their proclimation.
