1 corinth 3 v 10-15
Using the gift that God gave me, i did the work of an expert builder and laid the foundation, and someone else is building on it. But each person must be careful how he builds. For God has already placed Jesus Christ as the one and only foundation, and no other foundation can be laid. Some will use gold or silver or precious stones in building on the foundation; Others will use wood or grass or straw. And the quality of each persons work will be revealed on the day that Christ exposes it. For on that day fire will test it and show its real quality. If what was built on the foundation survives, the builder will recieve a reward. But if anyones work is burnt up, then he will lose it but he himself will be saved, as if he had escaped through the fire.
so this is what i think it means = the people that use gold silver and precious stones are the ones useing the bible, truth, humility, forgivness, common sense, Jesus, charity things like that.
the ones useing wood, grass and straw they are building with self interest, ego, greed, profit, lies, disillusionment, control, things like that.
on the day of Christ his fire will burn up all the wood, grass and straw and leave only the gold, silver and precious stones.
the person that built with wood grass and straw will be saved because the corner stone of our religion is Jesus and faith in him, so the person will survive because he was saved by his faith, but all his work will be lost.
