  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My husband and I had been married for fourteen years before we regularly attended the same church. The key is about being able to respect and support one another's choice of church, and encourage one another to use your gifts in service. It doesn't have to be under the same roof at the same time.

That's what I believe also, I told her I am willing to compromise and do my church once a month. But I am worried if I change my mind and want to go more often she may be upset by the notion of us splitting ways every Sunday morning. Worshipping together is very important to her.

Reasons .... what are the reasons for one's belief? Perhaps you and her should spend some time studying His Word together and see what His Word says .... rather than possible bias of some kind (by either of you) In choosing a church it should be dependent on what they teach (not music and other things) .... and teachings (no matter where they come from) should be in accordance with what His written word says.

Pair with someone going in the same direction, or take up residence in the attic.

My house has a low pitch roof leaving little room to crawl, so in my case, I had to make it the basement.
