Well --- seeing as how scientists created LSD --- what's there to see?
I see --- you've just been promoted to PR Department.Scientists didn't "create" LSD. They extracted lysergic acid from ergot and added diethylamine.
We get "pleasure" from LSD, do we?In essence, God created LSD. According to dad, everything God created he created for our "pleasure."
Thank you ---DAD's and your posts are a good example. Although I must admit you have more erudition than DAD!
Wonder what was invented first; The sharp rock or the pointed stick?

If we want to be precise, it is for His pleasure all things were and are created. But as went man, so went the animals. They were for our use, as was the stars and sun. We were, in the opinion of some, the literal masters of the universe, and earth. We had dominion, even over, like Jesus had, the sea, and wind, and etc.Scientists didn't "create" LSD. Organic chemsits trying out new things syntesized things like LSD, and, nylon.
Some felt that the bad outweighs the good, and no science should be done.Knowledge of good and evil does not make the good bad, or the good evil!
Forgive the lurkers and I of we ask for the name of the scientist that invented the sharp rock?? Really..There was an early scientist / technician who invented the sharp rock too. Later, someone got hurt wit it. This brought into question whether science and technology were doing more harm than good, and who should get the blame. Some said that
people should only use what god gave them.
Pure dreams, of course. For all we know God sent the fire to accept the lamb sacrifices, and man just kept it going. Then, some people started using fire. The same controversy erupted. Some groups went with it, others refused.
Try to think, before you claim stuff. It would be best to try to maintain some modicum of intelligent debate on these forums.
really, now!? Create for us a new veg for supper tommorow, will you? Strut your stuff here, your claimed stuff! What a scream..Do not forget the other creations of science. Almost all of the fruits, vegetables, and animals we use were domesticated by people. Brocolli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussel sprouts, kale, collard greens, and kolhrabi were all created by man, not God.
God cannot share power and remain omnipotent.Ridiculous. If I let the wife go shopping, it does not mean I am not able to go shopping.
Who thinks they are separate from this universe?? Try to focus.Agreed. The universe is one process. Separateness is an illusion.
To think you don't. one way, or the other, is delusional. Only question is, really, do you do it willingly? To serve the devil is to serve yourself. If God is omnipotent, he doesn't need servants. To say you serve God is self-serving.
And some know that beuty, and etc is a part of God, and His creation. Some serve an ideal not someone. e.g. Truth, beauty, art, etc.
Why not? Maybe He likes His creations to seek the right thing, and delights to let em have it? Power does not mean One has to be a Nazi! The point is that an omniscient omnipotent God is going to do whatever he wills and isn't going to change his mind because of flattery or groveling.
Pray without ceasing, the bibvle says. You stay ion a closed room all the time?!! Strange indeed. Was Jesus on a closed room any time He prayed? No. Get a grip.Whether prayer is forced or willing, it is impotent. You want to pray? Go to your room and shut the door.
Yes, and slap Him as well, and punch Him, if I could. So?? What. I should like liars? Not for me, thanks. God is not a man, that He should lie.You have given your game away, dad. You would rule with God, as his equal. More. You said you would kick his keister if he told you the Bible was not inerrant. (Remember? If you don't, I can look it up.)
We will control the earth forever, yes. Get over it. If God likes to be controlled a little by the process of prayer He set in place for us, why deny Him His kicks? Bizarre. You want to control others. You postulate that you can control God by prayer. You won't let god do his will without protest.

Although B. oleracea is believed to have been cultivated for several thousand years, its history as a domesticated plant is not clear before Greek and Roman times, when it is known to have been a well-established garden vegetable. Theophrastus mentions three kinds of this species: a curly-leaved, a smooth-leaved, and a wild-type.[1] It has been bred into a wide range of cultivars, including cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and more, some of which are hardly recognisable as being members of the same genus. The historical genus of crucifera, meaning four-petalled flower, may be the only uniting feature beyond taste. It has become established as an important human food crop plants. According to the Triangle of U theory, B. oleracea is very closely related to five other species of the genus Brassica.[2]
The plant is used because of its large food reserves, which are stored over the winter in its leaves. It is rich in essential nutrients including vitamin C.
The cultivars of B. oleracea are grouped by developmental form into seven major cultivar groups, of which the Acephala Group remains most like the natural Wild Cabbage in appearance:
- Brassica oleracea Acephala Group - kale and collard greens
- Brassica oleracea Alboglabra Group- chinese broccoli
- Brassica oleracea Botrytis Group - cauliflower, Romanesco broccoli and broccoflower
- Brassica oleracea Capitata Group - cabbage
- Brassica oleracea Gemmifera Group - brussels sprouts
- Brassica oleracea Gongylodes Group - kohlrabi
- Brassica oleracea Italica Group - broccoli
Here you go! Glad to help!
Nothing on (gods green) earth that you could ever say to "dad" would move him a quarter point off of any idea he has. The thread I had a few days ago he wrecked and the mods closed it. I think we are all way better off if his posts are ignored.
Remember though that there are many lurkers here on these forums. Though dad is set in his ways, some of the lurkers may be undecided. In dad's mind we will never prove him wrong yet we may be able to sway the undecided away from the dark side with our rebuttals.
