my niece went to a retreat before Christmas & didn't wear a mask...she tested positive for covid & then gave it to her sister

both were vaccinated
they've been sick since Christmas
mostly cold symptoms & stuffy head
no fever

I hope they recover fully and safely. Thank goodness they were vaccinated. It is the difference between life and death.

Yes but no need to hurry it along. By not taking the help available!

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

God is in charge. All events are woven in His purpose. We can’t hurry His timeline. He knew this day would come before it arrived. Nothing surprises Him. Our choices are part of His plan.

If its your time, no precautions or protection will change that. We don’t manage the clock. He does. And we’re subject to His will. We’re not in control. When we make peace with that truth there’s no need to fear.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!

There’s more to life than Covid. I won’t steep my thoughts on the subject.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Vaccinated people die 8 times less often than the unvaxed if they get Covid.

I think that the jury is still out about this and the Omnichrom variant as we are still learning about the effects of this particular variant. There's a strong suggestion that Omnichrom is hitting children a quite a lot harder, this may, or may not be be a serious problem, but with the higher rate of spread and the faster level of transmission, we might not get much time to respond and the limited time it takes respond may catch us less prepared.

If there is going to be any nasty surprises, which we don't have time to react to and get our preparations in place, in sufficient time. General precausions such as taking a good multi vitamin tablet on a daily basis, a high does vitamin D tablet and a good diet will help to build up you natural immunity in general. It's not specifically aimed at just covid, but good immune health in general. Buying a few tins of foods to keep you going for a week, or two if you are fighting an infection, will also be a smart move.

The statistics are in over the past 2 years and vaccinated people die eight times less than unvaccinated. You are correct that the variations have varying rates of death. About 2 of 100 unvaccinated people die.

Three vaccinated people in my office tested Covid positive and 2 of us were sick for two days and one had strep throat symptoms for 5 days. Most people survive. But the dead ones don't have a fun experience on the way out.

We’ll meet our Maker at the appointed time as we did before it began. There’s nothing we face that isn’t woven in His plan. Some will find sleep and others encounter it at a different point. All will pass away eventually.

H1N1 was a later generation of the Spanish Flu. They don't go away, and with the randomness of virus mutation, there is always just as much of a probability that a new variant will be virulent as there is that it will be benign.
