after that last picture, no more matter, that is just SO beautiful there truly aren't enough words in the Native American, American, English, Canadian, or Hungarian languages to describe it... if anyone reading this has never been to Yellowstone: GO!!!! Go NOW!!!!! Okay, you don't necessarily have to go now, I mean, you need to pack, right? But seriously, do yourself a favor and see this amazing slice of God's creation sometimes in your life!!!!

Mod Hat On:

A reminder of a few points regarding the use of pictures.

1. When you post a photo or graphic you must make sure that you have permission to use the original. All photos are copyrighted by default. Therefore it is not necessary for them to have the copyright indicator for them to be copyrighted. A good place to find photos that are intended for use by others is a stock photography site. Some are free, some charge, but all intend for the photos to be used. Here is a free stock site that has a large assortment of pictures, most of them with few restrictions by the owner:

Even when using stock sites you have to carefully read the photographers terms of use.
  • Google image search, Yahoo image search, etc. come up with a lot of great pictures, but most are not free to use. You need to obtain permission to use EACH one as these services are really just search engines of content on other people’s site. Therefore when you post them you are often breaking copyright laws or are leeching their bandwidth, or both. If you post pictures from other people's pages, please make sure to

    a. ask permission
    b. include a note about who made the picture as a courtesy.
  • If you have permission to use an image then upload it to your CF storage or a third party hosting site (photobucket, imageshack, etc.) so that you do not use their bandwidth. If an image is posted in a number of forums it can quickly use up the bandwidth assigned to their page and you not only lose your image but they lose their site for a time. These third party hosting sites are intended for this purpose, so please use them.
