On another forum we were discussing radical Muslims and this arose.
Well, actually, being a true Christian is as radical as it gets. A true Christian believes:
If you want to be great, become a servant.
In order to be strong, you must be weak.
In order to be wise, become a fool.
To save your life, you must lose your life.
To receive, give with no thought of receiving in return.
To be first, you must be last.
Love your enemies.
Do good to those who hate you.
Rejoice when you are persecuted.
Our war is not against men of flesh and blood.
Our kingdom is not of this world.
If you own 2 coats, give one of them away.
If a man tries to rob you of your coat, give him your coat and then, give him your cloak too.
If you are slapped on one cheek, allow yourself to be slapped on the other cheek also.
All those so-called Christians screaming, "NUKE 'EM!" are not really Christians at all.
Give it a little more time, and soon you will see many true Christians. You'll see them going humbly to the guillotine after speaking out boldly against the beast system that has destroyed and enslaved the world. And most of the so-called Christians who are now screaming "NUKE 'EM!" will be there screaming "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!"

If all of this is so, and I agree with the premise, how do you explain Jesus fashioning a whip, with His own hands, and physically beating another human being?
